When I joined the role I am in it was a career with prospects for promotion etc... However with goverment cut backs and continously fighting of privatisation it is no longer that and is now something that pays the bills. The work is harder and more dangerous due to there being less staff.
You no what LL, couldn't agree with you more, if tesco sell what you sell and can sell it cheaper and use their brand to sell it they will.
take the case of the baker, family owned and run since 1905.
tesco move in next door, sell bread @ 25% lower than the baker, baker goes out of business, tesco increase price of bread by 35%.
re huge salary and pensions making public sector look bad, some do and are so used to riding the gravy train they fight tooth and nail to retain the lifestyle they have grown used to ( noticable by waist size) even to the point of the high court.
don't even get me started on the ~ankers greedy bast~rds.
between them and the government they are responsible for this mess, they gambled away everything and our children are left with the burden.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
My first time trying to post pics, here's hoping....

I have a till spit for £5 off a £40 spend but also have the £6 off £40 spend fromt he recent mailing. I was going to stock up with beer and use them both in one transaction. I spoke to a friendly SA tonight and they said they would be happy for me to use them both in one transaction.
Question is, will the till allow them both or will I need to spend £45 so I was still over £40 for the second one to qualify iyswim?
Bump..........

I know this is a dicussion thread but i agree can you all leave the politics about public sector in the correct thread please. There are plenty of threads on MSE discussing this sort of thing. I would have some quite strong views but probably best to leave it there;)

It's late and I may not be thinking straight ... but could you buy 'anything' to take you over £40(£45) and then return it a few days later? That way you get money off a lower spend (eventually).French_Knickers wrote: »Bump..........
