Can I just double check this is the one scanning at £1.75 because it looks very much like the one I saw that scanned at £12? I have now managed to get a set but mine doesn't look like this box. Mine has the two little cars at the top right corner and is more of a red/blue mix of colours.

There are 2 different packaging for the starter sets at £1.75. Both have the same barcode. They have Chuggington Die Cast in big writing near top left with 'Wilson & Brewster Starter Set" writern in small writing near bottom left. Both say 17 Pieces
One packaging has the trains displayed bottom right, the other has then displayed top right.

There are other chuggington sets that are scanning at a higher price but these are all Chuggington Interactive as far as i remember. There was a chuggington interactive (23 pieces) scanning £3-£4 (cant rem exact price) but it was the track only.

I dont believe the Interactive & the Die Cast tracks are compatible as the Interactive trains look bigger. From the reading the box, my understanding is all interactive does is say some phrases. In the die cast, the child has to use his imagination and say it themselves.

If you want the £1.75 set, it will say
    1. Chuggington Die Cast
    2. Wilson & Brewster Starter Set
    3. 17 Pieces

I managed to get 4 tins of the biscuits this eve, thanks to op earlier.
I found them with ood sel from last week, but also sel put out early for offer starting tomorrow ending 6 December, when they are £5 again.
CS was shut for me too, but they still logged onto cs to give DTD as I told them I was not local and couldn't come back the following day. The sa that d/w it was really really lovely, just a shame I forgot to get her name as I was really tired, otherwise I would have e-mailed philip to let him know :)

Oh heck so I won't be able to go and get them tomorrow then! Just my luck at the moment, when i actually find an out of date SEL its about to become 'in date' again lol. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Are Tinyshoes or Wool around? I'm coming down to sunny Dorset tomorrow, any hot tips for me? ;-)
  • Big pile of them in one of my locals but they come up product recalled. I've never had one. Shame as they'd be great for putting seedling pots on in the spring to keep them watered.

i am going to use mine for making hampers on for family for xmas prezzies.

Just be a little cautious if you find the tray, it has an SEL in my store of £2.00, and that is what it is scanning at.

I think they must have overridden the price at store level.

With so many really dreadful stories I reckon its about time we started naming and shaming!

I mean you complained about the signage so they took it down and wouldn't show it to you? If those signs backed up what you suggested then she witheld the evidence. Ok not exactly ina criminal way as DTD is offered by Tesco, but as an individual she still conned you out of what was rightfully yours.

If it were ME....I'd go to another store, check the labelling and then check with their price intergrity team about the offer, then I'd ring HO and confirm with them what the offer was, just so I was 110% sure of my facts........then I'd go back to the other store and open a can of verbal 'whoopass' ;)

And I would be emailing philip clarke. The more you read about bad Tesco CS, the more he needs to know what is happening at store level, CS operating their own policy and not Tesco policy.

What a con! How can it be a "starter" set if it can't be extended? Am interested in their excuse.

It's not a con! There is Chuggington sets, then there are Chuggington interactive sets. You can extend the track, but you have to stick with the regular chuggington or the interatctive

Was fed up so went for a drive. I'd forgotten to get milk too so had to go out as mornings are well rough without a cuppa to kick start the system.

Managed to find 34 packs of balloons and 5 of the technika blue striped camera cases. Also topped up my chocolate mountain (well it'd be rude not to) and found what I thought was a bargain. It was a woody flings his hat toy and it scanned for 80 odd pence. Bargain I thought and bought it but discovered later when I got home and read the pack properly that he was supposed to have a hat!!! lol Oh well nothing ventured as they say lol

Also found those posh biscuits with a £5 SEL but it was gone 11pm so no CS open. Might take a trundle over there tomorrow and get 3 or 4 tins! :)

    Morning!
Do you know what type of hat? I ask because my son has a 30cm woody with a plastic hat that has elastic to fit. When we got it there were two hats in the box so i have a spare you could have, just dont know if it would fit, and funnily enough only found it last night as doing tidy up for estate agents! Fate?!

Failing that you could email manufacturer, say it was a christmas present, you bought weeks ago, just got it put to wrap and post, but alas, wheres the hat? Can you buy a spare ( might make them feel sorry for younand send you one anyway).
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.
