Morning all. Hope everyone is well. Quick question. Has anyone managed to buy the Large Finest Spiced Carrot Cake priced £1 (normally £4) instore? I couldn't find any this morning so kind lady got me two from the back. The SEL was £4 but it clearly states online that it's £1. I can see no reference to that it is store specific or online only. It scanned at £4 also so I didn't buy it. At customer services she said was I sure because that was very cheap, then said it must be online only, then said it must be only certain stores. I've just got home and rang T's but the girl there just said the same as woman instore. If it is only online should it state it? I really wanted this for a pud for when inlaws come for tea tomorrow. Wish they would be clearer!! Hope this makes sense.

Vashti was my Grandmother

I was trouted big time with these yesterday!!
I picked up 3 different ones as they were all on the shelves all clearly marked 3 for £3 and offer didnt click in so i went to Cs and was spoken to like dirt! she was quite loudly shouting ohh no you cant have them, youve mixed them up they are different offers!!! so i asked how can they be 2 different offers when they are all marked 3 for £3 and i asked a SA girl that was passing at the time if you could pick 3 different and not have to have all the same and she said yes???
Anyway apparently they are 2 different offers you have to read the small print 1 offer is for mc vities 3 for £3 and the other for cadbury ones 3 for £3!!
But in my store they are all mixed up together not seperated in any way at all! all with 3 for £3
I told her that i thought that they were misleading customers as they were all set out together and priced the same but she didnt care at all, she said either pick 3 the same or have a refund you havent been overcharged its your mistake!
I got a refund but told her i wanted it noted that i complained about them misleading customers and that how many other busy customers who havent checked their receipt with a fine tooth comb have they ripped off!
Exactly the same thing happened to me at weekend. I was told you can't mix the offers but because I was running late and had been stood in the cs queue for almost 1/2 hour I am ashamed to say I was a right wuss and didn't argue the toss. Just took it all meek and mild - I am so cross with myself:mad::mad::mad:0 -
I bought a carrot cake yesterday for £1 and it was very nice.
Went back to get another today and it is now £4. I phoned CS to ask why my local branch is charging £4 when it says online that the offer is for today as well and he apologised and offered to send me a £5 card which I can spend on a carrot cake or whatever else I would like - he couldn't have been nicer. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
