I used to be phone phobic, but had to face my fear, still not comfortable with it and only use it as a last resort.

Aye, 90% of the time it's lying in a corner somewhere with a flat battery!:rotfl::rotfl:

HC, come on just a little joke please.

Orpington is really nice, counted 3 T on the way and found out there is a huge one in the town centre.

The job I went to price looks good 3 bed house that needs brightening up,
just have to give the right competitive price to nab the contract, and if goes to plan will get a 5 bed house to do after.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

    Afternoon all :)

Not normally got anything to post about but just back from T's where I had my first encounter with a "trout"

I was doing my weekly shop and happened across the veg, lots of signs buy one get one free so I got some broccoli 97p and some fine trimmed beans £1 as per the list on the signs.

Noticed after I paid the offer didn't show on the receipt so off to CS and I query it, CS was so miserable just bluntly said "well you have to buy 2 of the same to get it", I said surely not when the sign lists various types of veg, she continues "well thats how it works in this shop" anyway she muttered under her breath and proceeded to open the till and thrust 97p at me then walked off to speak to another colleague.

Normally I would have just walked off but I thought I'm not going to be treated like this by her, so I went and got one of the many signs from the veg section (at this point I notice the offer ended yesterday) and returned, she ignored me standing there for 5 mins while she pretended to be busy shuffling things about on the counter, so I politely say excuse me but this is the sign.... and with that she snatched it out of my hand before I could say anything else and threw it on the side saying "well normally it only covers two of the same item".

By now I'm determined that I'm going to have DTD on it so I stand there and after a few mins she said "is there something else" :rotfl: Yes I said don't I get double back as you over charged me omg her face, she then want's me to unpack my shopping to show her the veg I got, satisfied I have the correct veg she thrusts another 97p in my direction lol I just smiled and said thank you have a good day :rotfl:

This is only the second time I have ever got DTD the first was with the 4 packs of chicken strips a week ago, got it then no problem from a different SA without having to ask as well. My local extra never seem to have any of the misprices others post about:( But did manage to get 10 more of the DM today at 34p each.

Tread 12 on the main board is what you want but then again it isn't;)
You could also apply to the "unmentionable" site?
I never liked thread 12 but thread 11+ was a breath of fresh air. Then people started going slightly off topic but now we have had pages and pages about car insurance quotations, Afghanistan, bickering, squabbles, insults and the like.

Can't we get back to where we were before? Keep it on or about Tesco glitches or even as far as what you have done with your glitches (ie lalas party decoration).
Valid point regarding the data allowance. I dont use a smartphone (or anyother if I can avoid it-I'm phonephobic) but I imagine that to be a bit of a pain especially when people quote the postings with photos on, so you get them several times over.

When I quote I get rid of all the rubbish that is not relevant, replacing deleted text with "....", it makes it make more sense.

Please note I have not intended to insult or upset anyone's posts on here, they are all valid comments, but not necessarily in this thread.

Again, only like this post if you agree with me. Thanks.
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

  • On the subject of pricecheck vouchers - does anyone know if the till would tell you if it's already been used? Is there a way to check this beforehand? I've a few emails for pricechecks and have lost track of which I've printed and used. As my store never signs the receipt, I don't know which to bin now. Don't want to be embarrassed at the till!

A little bird tells me that if you print a pricecheck voucher again by mistake and then use it, nothing happens - no alarm bells or anything, it just goes through. You won't be embarassed at the till.

To do this intentionally though, is not allowed. Eventually it can be traced back to you, most of the time, and is a breach of their T&Cs.

Be careful, some of those insurance companies recored credit checks on your credit file and too many checks won't help matters. :(

Did you check to see how much difference his speeding fine would have made or did you automatically assume it would be bad and remove him?

When I had my Discovery I had mum as a named driver which reduced the policy from about £650 to £350, is there no one else in your family that has been driving a long time who has a clean bill of health that you can add as a named driver?

Ahh, you're age is going against you there I'm afraid. :( Sis forgot to mention that's she's 28 though. She started late, I started early (12) but I hate driving now, it's no longer a pleasure and there are too many nutters on the road these days. :(

Take a look at this idiot! This happened 2 miles up the road from me and she even denied causing the accident at first!:eek:

Oh I hope not last thing I need is bazillions of searches :(
Yeah we rang them to see what it would be with his speeding and it went up loads :( We have added my sister who has 9 years good history, with some quotes it made a big difference (talking saving of 100+ a month) yet on others it bumped it up

Hey, hope youare ok, you really should go and see a doc. When i had a no fault accident, my middle son started weeing the bed at night. Doc said it was physchological. Anyway awarded over 1 k whjch is in a trust fund.

Cant remember if it was your fault, but either way, go to docs. X
Thanks for the post hun, I went to see a Dr at A&E, beside the neck sprain nothing else was mentioned, though I put neck sprain in on the nhs direct site and it said its the correct name for whiplash which I didnt know and that sometimes you get tiredness irritability headaches etc all of which I have! It wasn't technically our fault, but because she is refusing liability and because OH braked and ended up hitting her in a bad place its looking likely 50/50 :(

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Just one, seeing as it's Tesco related. :) Hopefully it won't offend MMW.

A warning for you and any of your friends who may be regular customers at Tesco.

Over the last month I became the victim of a clever scam whilst out shopping. Simply going out to get some bits and bobs has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you!

Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good looking 18 or 19 year old girls come over to your car as you are loading your stuff into the boot. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windowlene, with their cleavage almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a lift to another shopping centre.

You agree and they get in the back seat. On the way, they start having sex with each other. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and performs oral sex on you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen on January 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 19th, three times just yesterday, and very likely again this upcoming weekend as soon as I can buy some more wallets.

Please pass this message on to all the men you know to warn them about this scam.
  • It still doesn't make it right x
