    I spend about £25 per week. Myself 4 kids 12yrs-6yrs 3 fish 2 hamsters. A little more when older kids come round.

    Sounds reasonable Spendi, you could probably get it down a bit further, to about £20 - 25 but it depends how tight your budget is :)

    ok i will aim for £25, if i cant do it then i will have to go higher, ive checked how much i have been spending and its an average of £180 a month, but i havent exactly been cutting back !!

    hiya.

    I generally spend approx £25-£30 per week on food and household supplies and toiletries for myself and my OH.

    This includes all our dinners and breakfasts and lunch for me everyday. We do often have a run to the corner shop moment for extra milk so I add another £5 per week for that.

    Over and above we end up treating ourselves to a takeaway about once a fortnight. Thats paid for by OH though!!!!

    edit to say that if i fancy something posh from marks as a treat or so then it comes out of another budget - my treats budget.

  • Ocy1 I would be interested to see how you shop. How on earth do you feed 5 of you on £25 a week. Now that is quite amazing.
