  • I would be inclined to pop a thin under jumper each, a pair of clean leggings, socks, a hat and gloves each in the boot too.

Just in case a) something is forgotten/lost

    b) accidental *spillages* :) mean the current gloves, socks and trousers become unwearable.

Like when you have a toddler, you always take the potty *and* a full change of clothes.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Another vote for just getting out and squatting. I think I've peed most places a bloke can, though the last time DH wasn't very happy as he was downstream of me :D

I had a mysterious package turn up a few weeks back and it turned out to be a Shewee! DH is fed up with me walking miles to find a 'good' spot to pee so ordered one!

But anyway, I find it a lot easier than I thought I would when I saw it!

The worst part is I have to convince myself it is not meant to fit snugly - it just doesn't feel safe leaving a gap between me and it! :o

I've only used it standing up and you do have to pull your trousers down a bit, but imo, it's hell of a lot easier than squatting and exposing your rear end to the world!

I have no idea how I could use it sitting down tbh. I reckon I might just be ok if I sat on the edge of the car seat, but I'd have to be bloody desperate to try!

Disposable nappies are a good stand by in the car. They absorb hell of a lot and, if really desperate, you could do worse than slip one in and pee in it.

    What a topic! :rotfl:

I used one last i went to a festie (well they were disposable ones) and i loved it! :D By the end of the weekend i'd mastered peeing standing up. If i go to a festie next year i'm stocking up

Hmm I think I might invest in one when I go travelling next month. 10 hour train journeys with my incontinence problems probably require some back up.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

The trouble is - by the time one is desperate to go, the volume can be quite considerable  :o

I am not averse to squatting for a wee if needs must, however I used a shewee at Glasto in 2004 and unwittingly managed to get most of the wee into the crotch of my trousers as it was a bit tricky to get a perfect fit!!

I used the TravelJohn at a festival this year and had no such mishap as the lady-shaped bit was a much better fit and everything is collected in a nice absorbent bag - so much less risk of spillage. So I 2nd the TravelJohn suggestion. :)

I had to improvise with a large Macdonalds paper cup when out walking with dd and her friend in a fairly busy area in the summer.

I thought there was no way I'd do more than that...

    I was wrong!

They thought it was hilarious, of course!
