We moved near to the general area of central Scotland that was on the news a lot last winter, where the cars got stuck in the snow on the road for hours and days in some cases.
So in an effort to be prepared should the worst happen again this year whilst driving down the same road, I am putting together an emergency pack.
I got a small shovel to keep in the boot of the car, along with a couple of blankets, books, a first aid kit and some food rations. I also got daughter and myself a Shewee (Extreme, no less) and some empty bottles. :rotfl:
I've never seen one of these in RL before and I'm shocked at how small the 'cup' part of it is. Daughter is petite so it looks the right size for her but I'm worried about me.
Who else has one of these? Do they work as the ads say they do?

I am waiting to see the feedback you get. From looking at the pictures, I can't see how you would manage to use it wearing jeans or trousers, without taking them down.0

I use one at festivals, they are brilliant! You do have to pull your pants down a bit though.
I totally know what you mean about them not looking right, but seriously give it a go. Maybe over the loo first? :rotfl:0 -

I thought I could use it if I got stuck in the car. :undecided Pulling one's pants down whilst sitting in the driver's seat does not sound particularly do-able.
I was hoping it was a very discreet process.:rotfl:
I will try it later and report back.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I had one bought me (the OH buys me the most romantic pressies eh?) and found it more hassle than it was worth tbh.
Now I just croutch down and pull my knickers out of the way (whilst trying to see if OH is taking a photo!)2014 Target;

They're brilliant! I have one that lives in hubby's lorry for the odd occasion we sleep in a lay-by when I'm out with him. It does take practice though and tbh I find it easier standing up rather than sitting down as things are less spread if you see what I mean
I tried it a few time standing in the shower as the packaging recommends and can now get the job done without showing anything other than the Shewee pipe and a lowered zipFor using sat down I would have recommended Traveljohns as the opening on those is a lot larger. I know a few lady lorry drivers and most carry both versions but the Traveljohn is the one of choice if they're sat in the cab.

Hmmm... if it doesn't work out, keep the bottle of water, the cereal bar, the torch and blanket etc in a bucket... in case of emergency empty bucket, wrap blanket round you, refill bucket as required, then empty bucket by side of road - or use the hot wee from the bucket to melt a bit of snow away and save you digging?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Wish I'd seen this earlier.
I just bought my wife winter tyres for the car.
I could have saved a few hundred pounds.0
