Using Sky to get a TV signal?

Really sorry if this is a stupid question so apologies in advance but i can't seem to find the answer online anywhere!!
I've just taken up the Sky HD upgrade offer and have an engineer coming next week to replace my old white Sky + box in the lounge with a new HD one and to change my old standard Sky box in the bedroom to a new Sky + box.
Is there anyway I can now use any of the boxes I will then have spare to get a TV signal in my daughters bedroom? She has a TV with built in Freeview but despite buying just about every set top aerial out there I can't get a signal and I don't have an outdoor aerial. I know its a long shot but i was just wondering as the Sky engineer is going to have to install the Sky + in the main bedroom upstairs as it currently only has the single feed for a standard box is there anyway (if i asked him nicely!!!) anything can be run in to get a tv signal in the other bedroom. I know i can get another multiroom subscription but don't really want to pay the extra a month and my daughter doesn't really need all the paid for sky channels, freeview channels would be plenty. I have also seen Sky Freesat cards can be bought for £25 so not sure if this might help?
Thanks for reading and again sorry if its a really stupid question!!

you will need another aerial connection to your sat dish, if you can get one and engineer is willing to put in then yes you can0
-
Or you can buy a second dish. They are not that expensive.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
-
Just ask the installer to run the feed to the bedroom, if its on the same side as the dish start your offer at £10 on the other side of the house try £20+0
-
Thanks, the bedrooms on the other side to the dish unfortunately so will hope i get a friendly installer who fancies making an easy few pounds!0

You can't get any Freeview channels on a Sky box. What you will receive on it (without Multiroom) are the Sky FTA channels. Similar but not identical. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
-
Note also that your subscription boxes would use all the connections from a quad lnb so the lnb would need changing for an octo lnb and usually unless this is prearranged with the installation order the installer is very unlikely to carry spare stock on his van. So when he phones the previous evening to arrange time for your install ask him then otherwise you stand very little chance. Every other reply seems to have missed this extra cost item.0

Noticed that as well Dave,We carried one Octo LNB on the van but if we used it & couldn't account for it on an 'official' Sky job,we had to pay for it from our own pocket, same for TV Links, pole & brackets ect.As these were for use on 'non-standard installs, the customer had to pay extra for the pole & bracket & Quad LNB.0

Thanks for your help guys, I'm thinking we may possibly already have one of these as when Sky came to install our neighbours they couldn't get a signal so asked if they could use my dish instead, as next door have sky + I assume we must already have one of these that can cope with more than 4 outputs, hopefully we have!!0

Sky+ requires two feeds only.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Having both property's connected to the same Sky dish can be dangerous,as you are on two different mains electrical supply,by using your dish they have effectivly connected them together.0
