Just off with DD for our mini makeover! Will have to try and think of something to do so we can show off how great we look (though that may be asking a lot of a mini makeover for me!):D
Washing on, and will leave the washing up for those lazy ones who can't get up and have breakfast before midday...;)
Filed all my course work yesterday, and cleared a hotspot in the kitchen; accounts to do over the weekend, and also want to do the children's bedlinen.
Lovely and sunny here, though frosty! Must remember to go out in garden and look at snowdrops etc while sun shining! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
shell2001 wrote:Pigpen -re the cream leather sofa and biro. If you give it a squirt of hairspray and then wipe with a cloth it will come off, may take a few applications. I too have a cream leather sofa and a can of hairspray is in my cupboard just for this purpose!
thanks for that.. But my philosophy is.. it'll wear off in time!! lol.. it has black permanent marker on itr as well which won't shift at all and I've given up trying. The sofa cost £60 and is going in the playroom once it is sorted so it'll get much worse in there! The bizarre thing is, when we had a fabric sofa it was vomitted on or pooped on or pee'd on at least 3 times a week.. now we have wipeable leather sofas noone does anything on them.. do you think they realise I would actually kill them if they so much as thought about it??
I've sent DH to drop the pink things off at dance class so I can get everything loaded and on the go, so I best shift my big hairy self as I have heaps to do.
Have a great day everyone!!
ETA.. just wanted to say TY to Moggins too for the link for vet supplies on another thread.. (I know you'll read it here!!) I got some frontline for my fuzzy beasts (cats not rabbits as it kills rabbits!) ordered yesterday and it arrived today!! Amazing.. so thank you.. and saved me a small fortune!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

That's lovely, through all the hustle and bustle of the world and it's trials and tribulations, something so simple can be so beautiful and be so utterly heartwarming, makes me wish I had snowdrops to look at too.
Well, I've done the dishes and the WM is on but can't seem to get motivated to do anything else, please give me a kick up the bum0 -

Thanks for that pigpen, gonna go and do the hoovering, surprisingly the house is still spik and span so I think that's why I'm not so motivated today, I seriously need to go and do DD#2's bedroom (again) strip the bed etc though, hopefully you're big kick will get me up the stairs- and not for a snooze whilst I'm there

For those who are suffering with the flu bug ,ended up phoning the doctor for DD in the night,,,,,,this was his advice
DONT buy any decongestant tablets ,,,use either Olbas Oil or Menthol crystals dissolved in hot water and inhale .
he said this will clear all sinus , and chest "Stuff"
i always have used the crystals and swear by them ,, tip from me though ,wear some glasses ( even if only got sunglasses) anything so the vapours dont get in your eyes, as it stings,
dont laugh ,weve found DH welding goggles works best as they go around the sides of your eyes too . , so at the mo we all look like Biggles under our towels inhaling,,,BUT IT IS WORKING . all feel much better today
he said best medicine ,is First Ibroprufin (Sorry dont know how you spell it ) , then either paracetamol or
co-codomol for fever and headache ( but the latter will cause constipation if used for a long time )
and to buy SIMPLE LINCTUS for coughs etc, said dont be fooled by the name ,it just means it simply has all that you need in it , without all the extra marketing stuff to bump the price up .
i know its off topic , but with so many of us down with the lurgy, thought it might help to pass the doctors info on0 -
That's very handy Moll - gonna c&p it to notepad so I don't forget any of it, hope you all get better soon, and :rotfl: @ the goggles I can just picture it
To everyone who's poorly and has poorly little ones
(((((((((((((get better soon hugs)))))))))))) x
Well, I've had a splurge of energy and got done
Washing outside
kitchen floor scrubbed
hoovered right through downstairs
cleaned front door
hoovered half the stairs - where the flex could reach to
tidied a developing hotspot in the living room
sorted mail
DD#2s room NEXT
oh! and did I say it was spik and span - WRONG  not when you get down on the floor it isn'tmaybe to my standards it is but other than that.............

Morning everyone.
Sorry to hear there are so many bugs doing the rounds. Look on the bright side though - if you weren't flying those pesky germs would be lingering around the house even longer, and you'd have an even bigger mess to deal with once you got back on your feet.
Lil Me - i only said that was my to do list. I am glad you feel inspired, but there is a low chance of everything getting done. Saying that, i've made a start as i thought how can i not now you put me on this pedestal. :rotfl: I've just been on the ASDA website looking at what is bargainous to help meet the target of spending less this month, and started menu-planning and writing shopping list.
DH is just having a bath, and then i will be starting in earnest. (Dare i admit that i am not dressed yet.)
Have a super saturday everyone!

Cheers Moll I have one beplagued adolescent daughter, with PMS.. oh she's a joy and a half! I have 2 snotting grotting toddlers who are smearing their noses from here to the moon and I've run out of loo roll!!!
the large creature has boots cough and cold capsules, that I have great fun watching her gag on.. they are tiny capsules!! and 2 small creatures that are drugged with medised.. I LOVE that stuff!!! For the coughs.. tixylix tixylix tixylix!! for the children and Covonia for the adults. Simple linctus makes my lot vomit, it is too heavy and it is positively rubbish by comparison. I have tried and tested everything that has been on the market and have not yet found anything to rival medised and tixylix/covonia (especially when coupled with ibuprofen as well) .. and YES they CAN have all 3 at the same time!!!!! The hospital said so when DD2 was in with bronchiolitis!!
Olbas oil and anything eucalyptus or menthol sets of everyones eczema and colds sores for my mother.. so we avoid that lot.. so be warned if you do suffer!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
