The other thread is now closed. Squeaky has kindly said that we can have a weekly thread. So every Sunday night I will start a new thread but every day will post the days tasks into my first post. Therefore we have a shorter thread (only a weeks worth instead of a month) with everyone able to easily find the days tasks.
iwanttosave - please don't do that hun, you will find that every room comes round again. Just jump in when you are able, there is no catching up to be done here except for the (paid) workers amongst us who need to do most things on a weekend.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

bigmuffins (I love that name) this is instead of! Some of us find it easier to get motivated this way and the e-mails from the Flylady website were a bit oppressive for some. We're MSE'rs flying to our own tuneOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I hate housework with a vengance, but reading over the flylady threads lately has given me a bit of motivation, so I'm going to give it a go and tackle the kitchen tomorrow. Not promising great things but it'll be a start.
Thanks moggins. :T

Join in anyway - my home is in uproar with decorating but I am still here.:D
I have agreed that my decorator will spend this week on another customer's urgent job and come back to finish the painting next week.
No flying this weekend - spent it with friends (Burns Night) and the Tallisker rose up and bit me today.:o
Have a good week everybody.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
moggins can i just suggest if we are having a weekly thread that you put the weekly thread for week starting.... eg. 29/01/2007, as this will make more sense when i archive them
We'll get away with it for this week, but we'll end up with millions of threads with the same title IYSWIM.
I really need to get my head round quite a few OS things this month. I just totted up our food bill for January, which was over £350. Shocking for me, DH, baby, plus 2 cats. It's really piggy. I also want to seriously think about losing weight as i'm sat at home being a pig. So i want to add getting rid of some body clutter. I also still have cupboards full of toiletries when i don't buy anything other than shampoo and toothpaste. I'm going to pamper myself by having a daily 'smelly' bath after my flying. In terms of flylady, i am going to get back into meal planning, and storecupboard lists, and actually write myself daily, weekly and monthly to do ticklists as i am forgetting things. I've been doing FL for a year, and about 6 months on here and i still haven't got it sorted.
Challenge for me tomorrow:
1) take a walk - combine with buying veggies and paying in some cheques.
2) try to make important phonecalls - ring water and electric company.
Progress, not perfection in 2007!0 -
Here was me thinking I was a clever sod doing sitting room under furniture tonight etc getting a heastart :rotfl: WRONG! But Monday is better for me with the kitchen as I tend to make a lot on the weekend with the kids, and it gets a little more grubby, plus DP takes over half the kitchen most Tuesdays (when we did it before) meaning I didn't get it done until the evening when he went out.One day I might be more organised...........

ooooh kitchen, did the floor today but I did notice that a few of the cupboard doors were in need of a clean, not to mention the cooker ! Atleast I can get started on that one in the morning before work while the BF is still in bed.
Fab idea on having weekly thread and updating the first post mogginsDebts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
