    Telling the truth doesn't mean that you will not get a job and it's sad that you think so. Employers do speak to previous employers as does the job centre and the lie will come out.

    Personally my conscience wouldn't let me lie and so the issue wouldn't arise. :o

    The risk is the new employer finding out (more likely than not) and then having a second dismissal for gross misconduct on your employment record.
