Ok, downloaded the 209MB file, saved it my PC and 'un-zipped' it to reveal the folder inside. Open the folder, right click on the 'BelkinBluetooth' application and choose 'Run as Adminstrator'.

Before you begin, uninstall all that you installed before, reboot and then begin the new installation. Then I guess you can plug the module in.

no harm at all in saving to desktop, easy to find when you need it ;)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I thought that this was the file sent to you from Belkin? Did you not unzip it before?
Just double click on it, to begin the un-zip.

But importantly, uninstall all that you have installed thus far and reboot.

So not certified Window 7 64bit compatible.

Anyway, try my instructions first(Don't forget to choose 'Run as Administrator') and then refer to here if necessary.

nope its not compatible.wish i had known a while ago would have saved me tearing my hair out lol.
i have tried to install drivers using vista settings it tells me not compatible.
i dont actually use bluetooth very often i just wanted to get important photos from 2 phones to laptop which with your help i have managed.
rather than uninstall and start again i am happy to just be able to use the bluetooth on the odd occasion i need it as it is now( knowing me i will mess it everything up if i start again from scratch)
i realise now how you mean to install as administrator, i didnt actually open the file i just clicked on the icon on desktop which started the install process.
thanks very much again for taking your time to help me.

I never bothered installing Belkins drivers, I just plugged mine in to a USB slot, and win 7 did it all for me. Works well enough. Just have to click on it, and either send, or receive a file. Fine for my needs anyway, without lots of extra unnecessary software clogging up my system.
