I would be getting 83 miles on a tenner in my Golf TDi."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

i'm currently hating it!! but that's what happens when you pick up a 'bargain'.0 -
I've completely stopped looking at fuel consumption or working out the mpg etc.
Fill it up, drive and fill it up again when it drops below half.0 -

I bet if you put a tenner in tomorrow you'll get more miles or you'll get a lot less. Just putting a tenner in isn't a good way of working out your MPG as you don't really know exactly how much fuel you have used compared with whats exactly left. Brim to brim method is the only way of truly working out your MPG and i'll bet your getting more than 30mpg.
The adding a tenner method can make your MPG vary wildly, I know I can make mine go between 40MPG down to 20MPG using that method depending on how long I leave the refuel light on!Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
£10 gets me about 15-20 miles in my auto. I really must get the breather fixed and autobox flushed as I'm currently lucky to see 17MPG0

My partner drives a 1.3 ka.. same thing. Used to run for two weeks on a tenner. Now you're lucky to get 4 days.0 -
I can still do 100 miles to £10 which is pretty good going. Granted I do drive a mobile washing machine :rotfl:0
