Hi, all! I'll add this to the Complete Menu Plans Collection soon!
This week, we're having:
Sunday - roast beef, yorkshires, veg (made by DH); HG baked apples with dried fruit and mascarpone
Monday - aubergine and mozzarella pasta bake with salad
Tuesday - beef and dumplings
Wednesday - chick pea and veggie burgers, in a bun with salad
Thursday - spicy pork
Friday - fish pie
We had friends to stay over the weekend, so I make blueberry muffins and welsh cakes for breakfast. There are a few left for tomorrow. I'll also be making a cake (Racy Red's Toni cake looks good), some butterfly buns (for DS) and biscuits (for DD). DD will be having wraps in her lunch box - ham, avocado and mascarpone to start the week.
Have a good week, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Nice to see some new menu planners, Celyn90 and Lamplady (and you have delicious menu's too!)
Mon : Smoked Haddock, spinach and tomato bake
Tues : Chicken with avocado salsa and new potatoes
Weds : minestrone with crusty bread
thurs: toad in the hole, mash and veg
fri : chicken satay kebabs with special fried rice
sat: Hm fish and chips and mushy peas
sun: roast beef and trimmings
Made some savoury muffins and banana bread for lunch for the week as well as leek and potato soup for dd and I.0 -
Our meal plan for the week is as follows, and I'm particularly pleased as it is all home-made bar a portion of chips on Wednesday.
Breakfast: branflakes with raisins
Lunch: Mon-Weds spicy couscous with roasted vegetables (using some of the veg we bought to today's roast); Thurs-Fri potato gratin (using rest of potatoes and veg from today's roast)
Dinner:
Mon - chicken curry (using rest of chicken from today's roast. Also using my slow cooker for the first time! Wish me luck!)
Tues - lasagne with salad
Weds - lasagne with chip shop chips for dbf; I'm going out :j
Thurs - pork with some of the veg and potatoes from today, sauteed apples and cheese sauce
Fri - steak salad for dbf; I'm out again (good for food budget, not so good for my own spending budget!)
Have just realised that salad stuff wasn't on fruit and veg list for the week, so have to get some tomorrow. Grr. That means budget will be even more stretched than it is already. Oh could cry...
New flat, new budget, new commitment to MSE!

Hi! First time I've posted on this thread, but do usually manage to plan and stick to the weekly menu. This week:
Sunday -Roast lamb + veg
Mon. - Moussaka
Tues. - Shepherd's pie
Wed. - liver & bacon
Thurs. Spag. Bol.
Friday. Pasta & pesto sauce
Sat. (out!)
Years ago I used to do a four week plan and rotate, but haven't yet got back to being that organised - it was before I learned to drive and was dependent on a friend to take me into the nearest town!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0
