Just a bit of a golden "s*d off" really (and it is not that golden!). Some companies do pay lots to move on but the minimum is very low.
I've worked long hours for a number of years down in london (50-60+ a week and studied on weekends too) but enjoyed it and it just becomes a hobby. It helped me step up quickly in my career but I am happy to take an easier ride now. Some people can cope with working long hours - at my wife's old city law firm 70 hours was a good week. But often that is what it takes if you want to end up very well paid!Thinking critically since 1996....0
