No, it needs to be binned.
Could try freecycle or 99p ebay auction?

Just leave it outside your house - someone will have taken it by morning!

  • sorry to say they fetch very little money any more. they are to big and need a lot of room, Viewing angles on them are poor as well.

best bet is a 99p auction on ebay or maybe try swaps

Why not put it on ebay then?

Just don't expect the winner to pick up 5 minutes after the end of the auction ;):D

If it isn't Freeview capable, it really has no value unless for spare parts. Rear Projection died a death when Plasma and LCD screens grew to 40" and more. Cancer Research Shops will accept it as a donation, and whilst you may not get the cash, your Brownie points will be upped considerably!

Just think to yourself "Why am I getting rid of this?" Then you'll know why other people aren't flocking to buy it.

TBH that maybe your only option, and even then giving it away may prove difficult.
People just don't want those huge, heavy piles of rubbish in their homes, put it on ebay or gumtree etc, if it does not sell, then dump it

I havnt really got the space to keep it if i put it on ebay, was hoping there was something similar to cash converters that take them. And it is freeview capable.weve kept it this long because of the kids thank god we didnt have a plasma before now else it would have ended up smashed from toys and tantruming toddlers

thanx for your input everyone hopefuly someone will take it off me

You don't want the unit for the same reasons, people won't be queing at the door to buy it,
Freeview capable, does it have a built in freeview tuner or not?
Chances are it won't fit into a car, so even if you give it away, you may have to arrange transport :(
