Selling a tv

I very much doubt you will find someone to buy your Tele. Our local pub donated one to me a few years back when we first moved house. I must admit I loved it, but unfortunately it didn’t last long, which we expected really. The tele worked fine, but when the other half was hovering around, she ripped the screen, only a tiny bit, but it was very annoying. It would have cost a bomb to replace so had to scrap it. Luckily someone took it off our hands as they wanted the tubes inside.
There are limitations for the Rear projection tele. The main ones are
* you cannot play xbox or playstation on them, and if you do, you cannot leave the game on pause for long, and you dont get a very good screen refresh.
* They are massive and weigh a ton, I had to get my mates van to get the tele to our flat where we lived, and getting it upstairs was a right job.
* The screen rips easily, well it did on ours, and it also was ripped at the bottom when we got it, but that was ok as it didnt interfere with the viewing so much. However the small nook that my missus made was right in the top right corner, where the score always is.
* ours was a crt and apparently the tubes dont last very long life, however we did not experience this.
These reasons and more are why people do not really want to fook out for your tele. Everyone at the moment is getting rid of the large old school teles, the crt glass screen types that were common, as everyone, just like yourself are getting flat screens, we have to big ones at the moment, again donated by mates. Just look at freecycle and there are loads going free. I do hope you manage it get rid of it, and thumbs up if you find a buyer, but I think you will have luck if you gave the tele away to get it off your hands. If its a popular crt one, then you might have some luck in finding a buyer due to the tubes, but you will be lucky if you get more than £20 as the tubes don’t last long and no one will be willing to pay lots for something that might only last a week.0 -
