Save your money, get yourself a TV link, ask the man from Sky.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Well multiroom is £10+ per month, whether you want it or not is down to you, wont make any difference wen it is fitted.
TV link will show the same channel in both rooms they will still argue over the channel but physical assaults will lessen due to increased distance.0 -
Thanks - think i will need the extra box so i can actually be able to watch sky myself. Usually have to fight for the remote with both kids and hubbie:)Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

just spoken to sky who said it would be too late to add it to my order and so it would have to be installed on another day but with free installation and for a tenner a month. He then came back and said he had it wrong and that it would be another 30 quid. On principle I said no - think i will wait and see how we get on with the fighting. He then offered me half price installation - perhaps i should have taken it but was a bit narked he had misled me so i said no (mind you, you would think they would have offered installation free coz they will now lose a tenner a month. Hey! I can always record the programme and watch it later:)Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

Ring up Sky & ask them to raise a second Work Order for the other box, then route both jobs to the same installer, failing that ask the installer when he comes if he can do it there & then.
He should be able to get Sky to raise another work order for him to do the multiroom box.
Both those scenarios happened to me a few times when I was installing Sky.0 -

That might just be the installation company trying to get some extra cash (sky sub contract in a lot of areas).
See how things go with Sky+ and if you still think you want a multiroom box then try phoning up sky closer to Christmas when they are likely to have an offer on. If they won't offer the box with free installation then you don't have to go for it. You can always try again in a couple of months.0 -

this boy works for sky.....
but he is right on the nose. there is no reason they cant add a multiroom box and its £10 extra a mth not £300 -
thanks that was a real help. sky guy should be here with in the hour so I called him and asked him if he had a spare box and told him what i had asked sky. He said what they told me was right. I rang sky this morning and the guy said if sky guy had a box and enough time to fit it then there would be no problem adding it to the order for no extra installation charge. Just got to hope now that the sky guy has a spare box:)Smile though your bank is breaking:)0
