What happens exactly - Does it start to load files at all (White writing on a black screen)?

nothing happens , it just goes back to the screen mentioned in post 5

You might have to enter the BIOS to alter some settings to boot from CD and to get the Recovery Console to load (Change Sata Operation setting), unfortunately I'm going to be pretty busy today so I just don't have the time to walk you through it if you were confident enough to proceed.

In the meantime someone else might help.

First try booting up with the disc in the drive whilst tapping F12. You may be able to select the CD/DVD drive as first in the list straight away there. Otherwise, you may have to start-up while pressing F2 and enable it from there.
