thank you, yes it does, but the red boxes and the writing in them are not there
it does not tell what the problem is caused by or which files
i press f8 which takes me to startup options, i disable the autostart , select safe mode, but it just takes me back to the same screenNice to save.0 -

The red boxes won't be there. They are there simply for the purpose of illustration.0 -

Not sure of what this error code denotes: (0x81B07BB8) Perhaps someone can enlighten me.
Perhaps you need to open it up and check that everything is seated correctly.
Usually I would suggest to run chkdsk via Recovery Console.0 -

You have to choose F2 instead of F8 on startup to get to the BIOS interface.
For chkdsk you will need an XP boot disc.
Boot in to Recovery Console
Recovery Console commands(second part of article)
XP Home or Pro?
To open it up you would need a screwdriver.0 -
