  • Just read this thread and would like to join you if I may. Firstly though, I just want to send my sympathies to Emily - so sorry for your loss and hope you're coping ok.

I've got two credit cards, an overdraft and an LHA overpayment to pay off (also have a student loan but don't earn anywhere near the minimum salary required to start paying it off, so will concentrate on that after the others are dealt with).

I'm paying off quite a large amount per month on the LHA repayment (£98 per month ) and that will be paid off by next December. However as I'm paying off so much on that, I've been left with much less to chuck at the other debts, so I'm planning on ebaying anything in the house that's not nailed down, making odd payments if I have a few pounds spare in my account, and trying out Music Magpie amongst other things.

The first debt I want to clear is my Opus Card which currently stands at £985.77. It's on 6.9% life of balance rate and my other credit card will rise from 0% to 18.9% in the summer but that has a higher balance, so the Opus card seems 'easier' to clear as it's under 1k, iyswim. If I can clear that it'll be like getting over a big hurdle.

So if I could please be added, that would be great.
