  • Thank you Emily for adding me.

I did manage to read the entire post from beginning this morning.

I have also managed to have a proper look at my debts and I am sorry but the CC one is just too much for me to take on! :(

Can I change it to my littlest one please - I really don't want to get disheartened by setting myself a massive task I know I can't do :o REALLY SORRY TO CREATE YOU MORE WORK!!

Catalogue - £347 (aiming to pay before the interest kicks in!)

My debts are as follows ...

Mum £1470 (My next joint priority)
Barclaycard £602.77 (My next joint priority)
    Next £1042.35
    CC £1472.05
    CC £4376.60
    Loan £6521.01

    Total £15,831.78

I have arranged for my interest to be frozen on a fair few of my debts and I am also making token payments due to reduced hours at work, hubby on minimum wage etc - however hubby has since got a better job but I will be on maternity so I am rewriting to them in January (to actually increase the payments), I am leaving more of a cushion as I have in the past budgeted and under budgeted - hence the debt to my mum ... so I am hoping to have some emergency savings in place rather than my mum, which I have been informed is allowed on DMP (I have a CCJ :o, court was very helpful making sure i'd left enough money to cover bills etc and emergencies)

Anyway sorry to ramble - I look forward to the challenge - as you say we are people that can't afford to throw lots of money at debts, just a little bit here and there!

  • Update on Orange: Spoke to Orange on Friday and got through to some silly woman that read from a script and couldnt say anything other than what was on the script who also kept talking over me. . . so on came her supervisor who proceeded to speak over me!! got extremely annoyed. So spoke to phones 4 u about buying out my contract!! in January im going to lower my orange tarriff to £30 a month! then phones for you will give me a cheque of £150 and get me a contract on a blackberry for £20/£25 a month. I can then recycle my iphone and get roughly £230 for that and pay off my orange contract!!! soooo in a month or so time i will be paying approx £20/25 a month rather than £52!!! Orange always seem to be able to charge me over my tarriff. Stupidly though i never check my bill to make sure.

GOODBYE ORANGE in the new year!!!

20 days till XMAS! hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Just noticed on my capital one card i am being charged £7.81 a month for Payment Protection Insurance. I've had the card for a year so that's about £93, i am not 100% sure if i asked or this PPI or not but im going to try my luck later and call and say i didnt want or dont want this. Then if they prove that i did want it then fine but if not HELLO REFUND! lol x x x

    Hi all
My Gran died early hours of this morning:sad:
It was very peaceful and she didn't suffer at the end.
I will probably not be on here for a couple of days and would really appreciate it if you could make any newbies aware of the situation and that I will add new members/amend balances ASAP

    Emily xx
