uh oh! :S silly strikes!

just got a bit of a shock. . . checked my capital one in order to go and make a payment (money received from lloyds now) expecting balance to £980 as above, shocked to see it at £1041.29!!!! looked on a mini statement and a payment of £49.00 went through yesterday from "Amazon Prime" and another charge of £12 from capital one as i was over my limit!!! phoned capital one straight away and got the details of the transaction. Straight on the phone to amazon. . . i purchased a kindle for my dad in october, the delivery was free BUT was they failed to show was by me purchasing this they enter you into this thing called "Amazon Prime" which is all to do with delivery and selling etc (looks great if your a regular amazon user) this amazon prime has 30 days free trail and then if you dont exit out of it they charge you £49 without so much as an email to notify you of the payment!!!! i get the feeling that ALOT of people are annoyed too as when i phoned i didnt even have to ask and the lady said ok so you will receive a full refund in 2-3 working days!! ridiculous! capital one have now taken off the £12 charge. . . just hope it doesnt put a negative on my credit history for going over my limit?!?! ahhhhhh!!! so annoyed!

Gonna make my payment of £50 now anyway to get me back under my limit asap. BUT that means my capital one total will be down to £930!!! phew! x x x

this is probably a REALLY silly question so forgive me!! you know when you say you'll update totals and add people to the list etc. . . . i think im being really silly and missing another post that you have?! have you got another post on here showing everyone's totals etc?

Glad you were able to sort amazon prime easily Emma, I've bought a few Christmas gifts off there this month, hope I clicked the right button!

I just had a call for overtime next Thursday too :T Thanks for the thread Emily, we had decided to just leave our loan run as we have been DFW's for so long the loan seemed so small compared to how high our debt used to be and we have a lower income now so I was more concerned just sticking to our budget, but I'm quite excited, even if we just take a few months off the loan term it all helps.

Zippy - i know im pleased i sorted too! if i were you i would double check that your not on the free trial! i ordered my bits in October and the payment only just took the payment!! and i didnt get an email notification etc at all.

Emma, the 2nd post on page 1 has all your names and balances listed. I just knock money off this when you post that you have paid.

Sorry guys but not upto date with it today and this is a really quick post. My gran is very poorly and I have just popped home for some tea.

I really hope your Gran is okay Emily.

When you get the chance can you take £21.93 off my total please? I know it seems like an odd amount but it's my snowball amount from the last debt I cleared. (well it all makes perfect sense to me )

Hi Emily, after i wrote the post i saw it on the first page! *DOH* i have just put £150 into my bank account to count towards reducing overdraft!!

so can you take £150 off my £3,000 please!!! getting addicted to this debt clearing lark!

hope your nan is ok, forgot to add my debt is for littlewoods and was for 28.00 but paid 5.00 off it and another 2.00 today which means i have paid 7.00 off it
