PHEW....... finally added all the newbies and updated all the balances of those who have made payments. I've gotta say, I am really impressed with how you have all taken this challenge on board. I thought when I started it that a few people might join in!!!!
EMMA2105..............You are the 1st person in this challenge to have cleared a debt!!!!!!!! We are not even in 2012 yet!!!!!! Fantastic, well done:j
FAO Mud_flower ~ can you let me know what debt you want to tackle 1st and how much it is for and I will update your info on post 2.
If I ever update your balances incorrectly just let me know. I have all your details on spreadsheet but if I make a mistake just tell me!!!
I am hoping to pay an extra £5.00 off my Natwest by the end of this week.
For those of you on a DMP, like me, I am going to pay my Natwest off in dribs and drabs. However, CCCS do advise not to make too many 'over payments' as your creditors may ask why you are able to do this if on a DMP.
With my next debt, which is a bit higher, I am going to save the money in a seperate bank account that I have and when I have enough to pay this debt I will settle in full.
Really proud of you all and keep up the great work xxxx
PS Just for your info, my name is Emily xx:)Debt Free Date 1st August 2016 Sealed Pot Challenge #140 -

Hi all could I join you as well please
I only have one debt left, which is a loan for £5400, we don't have much surplus a month to throw at it so I can't even think about paying the whole lot off, but I've been thinking about it today and worked out each extra £100 I pay off brings the end date a month closer so I'd like to aim for £300 at a time so I knock 3 months off the loan term. Hope thats ok to do that.
In the spirit of getting started someone in work is thinking of leaving so I've asked already if they go can I have one of their shifts, which will give me £75 a month for the challenge (fingers crossed!) Task now is to set up the bank so I can make online payments to the loan, I'll aim to do that by Sunday as have a busy week with more overtime Thursday :T0 -

Hi Emily,
thank youpleased to be the 1st. i used to work in the head office for LTSB and i recently left, they wrote to me telling me that i have £383 to refund me that i had put into a pension automatically, soooo old me would have gone oooo xmas presents and a few bits for me. . . but new me went YESSS i can pay off my credit card AND still have some money left to pay off about £100 from my other Credit Card!! money should be with me on Friday so will make capital one payment then! but bye bye Aqua!!!!
me and my partner are applying for mortgages at the moment BIG STEP!!! so i thought right i NEED to get these credit cards cleared as they see that as a negative! ALSO going to use xmas money to pay off credit card instead of waste it like always!!!
Thank you for setting up this thread, i think its a fab idea!! Also seems to be attracting all the nice lovely people on this site! no one here to judge! feels "safe" speaking to everyone on here
Hope everyone is having a good week so far
