Woo hoo, I've just added up the last spends for December, which was £2.08 in Mr T's, £11.04 in HB and £24 in I*eland, and we've made it with £2.06 to spare, so declaring at £197.94! I must admit I had a little scare when I found more receipts than I was expecting, but when I checked most of them had already been accounted for, and there were only these ones to add so it wasn't so bad, lol!:)

    Hello everybody,

In the end, I just stayed within my set budget. My total spent was a little less than November. For December, there were a very few remaining items that can be used this month. Just one reduced 49p item took into account Christmas food spending. The total budget could have been slightly less but somebody offered to collect a few groceries for me on 30/12/11. I did not use any Christmas gift vouchers for purchases.

I am presently considering which "challenge" direction to take so do not know whether I'll join the Jan. 2012 grocery challenge. Thanks for including me in the December one.
  • Good morning folks,

  • Just to say that the £200.00 cash that i withdrew at the beginning of the month lasted us until 14th December and then i gave up after that! Perhaps december want the best month to start!! Still, making myself write this as even though i did appalingly, i find writing it down shames me into trying harder!

    Hi

Just declaring at £478.32, £98.32 over which I can live with.
I think I need to start a food fund to raise about £100/£150 for next Xmas to stop me going over in December - will look into stamps or the Christmas clubs.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

I was slightly over for Dec by about £50 at around £300 (don't have my phone with my nos on with me)- however as we used less petrol as 11 days with no commute its all come in on budget overall. Plus having done a freezer inventory we have enough meat/ fish for 51 meals in (all bought on offer/ yellow sticker)

I am declaring my total for Dec of £148.23 and over £50 under budget :D. I cut way back this year on the meals for my guests and went with lamb I already had in the freezer on the big day.

I think I am getting the hang of usin up what I already have in my meals I just need some more practise at setting an accurate budget.

See you all in January's thread.
