Thank you I do it all the time with beef, pork, chicken etc but for some reason the fact its four birds meat it scares me!!! I was a bit put off buying it as I thought it would be a bird inside a bird but it is just a layer of different meats from different birds, so is not that bad.
  • Wow where does the time go?? another few spends from a??? and m@@@@@@@@ £59 and £25 respectively in the £25 shop i fell in so lucky with reductions, have a generous budget with it being christmas but DH and myself have been chatting and weve decided whatevers left in the budget can go towards a new laptop or pay our deposit to take Ds 5 to euro disney next november so am going to aim to watch my xmas junk spending !!!

Just reporting in the latest spends - £11 in Mr S for stuff to tide me over until the mega Xmas shop later in the week. It was mostly dog food and something for tea tonight that involves no effort - very tired and can't be *rsed after the work Xmas do last night.

I'm aiming to get the Xmas food (have already written a list) on Thurs/Fri and hoping to live off left overs and the odd thing from the freezer or local shops until New Year.

Starting to fret a bit about the cost of the Xmas shop - I have £50 in T*sco vouchers towards it and am hoping to spend no more than £30 on top of them. I have my family coming to me from Xmas Eve to the morning of the 27th - we go out for Xmas lunch so that's a big expense that doesn't need worrying about (already paid for) but I need to feed 4 people and 2 dogs for the 3 days for every other meal, snack, treats etc
Its much easier when its just me and the dog!

  • Ok spends this week include £9.27 on fuit & veg and free range eggs at the local garden centre and then £33.09 at Mr M's. This include some toiletries that we have run out of and a new toothbrush for DD2 (one that vibrates) as my silly dog managed to find her other one and kindly chewed it for her.

Wouldn't mind but he normally hates me brushing his teeth :(. But it was slightly funny to watch him bark everytime he kept chewing it as he had managed to flick the switch on - but I wasn't laughting when it cost me £3 to replace:(:(

relise am well over budget but it will give me an idea of what I will need next Xmas.(well I think it will)

  • Another NSD for me today, although I have ordered the Christmas shop to come on Monday from Mr S. Will just have to pick up veggies and cream on Saturday but should hopefully keep us going until new year's eve. Going to be well over budget but at least it will give me an idea of what budget to set for January.
