  • Ohhhh new thread :) - a big thanks to Zippy, Rosieben & Helen Jelly for looking after us:D

Been struggling to decide for December's budget .... think I'll need a bit more than usual as a few confirmed visitors here & there (having just managed to struggle my way down to £100!:p) but also have a fair bit in mmmmmmmm decisions, decisions;).

Also hoping there may be the odd reduced turkey in the sm after the big day to restock the freezer:)

    Think I'll aim for £150 please (1st - 31st).

    Good luck everyone!

I am kind of running November and December budgets alongside at the moment as I have been buying stuff for the festive period but not counting it so have decided to add it up and start a December budget. As this will include more booze than usual, it is higher than usual!
£500 for me for December please. I have guessed at my total so far, it includes beef, gammon wine and spirits and pate that I have bought so far. From now on I will try to be more accurate. I have bought a lot of baking stuff that I will be using in December but I have already counted that in November so it will have to stay there!

  • I'm gonna go for £30. I am just a single person, I have a fair amount of staples still in my cupboard, and Christmas isn't something I like to bother with. I might end up being made to go back to my family for a few days too...
    November: £35.31/£??.??

Spent another £15.52 today on mince for the freezer and veg for today. Think I have enough meat now for at least half the month if not longer. I have enough bread flour, yeast, and flour etc for baking which should last the month. Some veg in the freezer but will need more fresh stuff for the weekend although we have a large sack of potatoes so won't need to buy those.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
  • Hi, had my 1st GC spend of the month today. £5.99 of £520. I need to do an Iceland shop sometime this month to get the freezer filled up. The one positive is that I'm starting to wean DD onto 'proper' milk so gradually we'll be able to drop the £7 a week cost of formula (a cost I've never really been able to stomach anyway).
