I've lived in places where mail goes missing, stolen presumably, and recorded delivery seems to be much more reliable, perhaps because the tracking means that they can trace where it got lost, and make it more likely the culprit is caught.

    what tracking would that be?

I would even get people to unlock their doors before giving mail to them at the door.

Well that's kind of what I expect when I pay for an item to be delivered to my house. It wouldn't have taken him any longer to knock on the door and give the parcel to me as the house was full of people that day. And I'd rather have had the parcel get sent back to the local post office or to the sender than have it signed for in the street by someone whose name wasn't on the parcel.
    Paying off the overdraft:
    End of April= -£500
    Today= -£455

    Hello All,

I am a student so living away in a shared house. Over the last two weeks my mother has been forwarding my post.

She has tried to send me 4 envelopes containing post and only 1 has been received.

I then tested it myself by sending me a letter to myself in an envelope that you would send a birthday card in and guess what i still have not received it.

I have contacted the local sorting officer and they said they haven't got any mail for me. Also it is the right size to go in the letter box. I have been here pretty much every morning when the post man comes and still no sign.

I have wrote a letter of complaint but no reply.

    What can i do?

    pretty much nothing!
I'm afraid there are thieves in royal mail, as everywhere.
i found out 1 (now ex) workmate who i thought was sound as a pound as just got done for it,
best thing about it he also aided in getting my best mate who i know is 100% straight, get the sack last year by grassing him up for a slight misdemeanor,
keep complaining and the culprit will eventually get caught, be it a sorter, postman or neighbour
  • My mail has still not arrived.I have sent test items to myself. The first was a plain white envelope and it arrived. I sent another coloured envelope to make it look like a birthday card AND guess what i didn't get it. I put a nice little message in there stating "STOP NICKING MY MAIL YOU C**T"

    The list is now expanding.

    2 T Shirts
    1 Debit Card
    1 Credit Card
    1 Book
Forwarded mail including bank statements and 2 postal orders for £52.99
    1 Cheque
1 Surprise Birthday Card ;) mentioned above

NOTTINGHAM POST MAN BEWARE OF THEM

I have wrote a letter to RM head office and they got back stating please make sure you use your correct address as your mail will be sent to a sorting office and can be held for some time. Enclosed was 6 claim forms.

    HOW HELPFUL
