After telling OH, I think your big priority is to work out if you're facing this debt on your own, or with his full support (or somewhere in between).

What is your OH's income? If he earns more than you could you agree to pay say 70%/30% of the household bills?

You need to ad up all your CCs and overdraft and find out all the interest rates. Once you have them, post on here and people will be able to give more advice. I recommend opening a new current account to get your wage paid into, then you've not got the disheartening 'always in the overdraft' situation. Then the overdraft can be treated the same as any other debt and paid off gradually. Ending the month with your (new) bank account at £0.01 will be better for your self esteem.

Everything on the above is half - so yes its what I pay. Gas is £90 a month - and not in arrears so I don't know why its so much and we have a thermostat for the heating so its never below a certain temperature which is meant to be cheaper :undecided
I am in arrears with electricity (OH doesnt know this) but am going to call them now and say I'm going to start paying from this month.

I have no interest rates on the CCs or Loan as they've all been sold off to dect collections - so its the final amounts I'm having to pay off.
He earns more than me (about 10k - 12k).
I think the whole 70/30 issue is going to come up this weekend as the friend I've been speaking to is shocked that its 50/50 anyway - he said he can't believe it, even without debt I shouldn't be paying 50/50 when I'm on a lower wage.
DFW (Beginning: 01 Dec 2012) - aiming for a DFD of Dec 2013
    Abbey Loan - £0/£18,188, Natwest CC- £0/£2459, Barclaycard CC - £0/£6500, Natwest O/D - £0/£2668, FLM Loan - £0/£500, Avon - £0/£200, Studio Catalogue - £0/£300
    PDLs: QuickQuid - £0/£660, 1 Month Loan - £0/£357.50, Payday Express - £0/£500

Total to repay: £32332.50  Repaid: £0
