Don't want to jinx it but I'm having contractions!

Argh here we go again!!!
Morning all! I've been up since 5 (AGAIN :mad:) with regular contractions but this time I've had strong period pain with them as well. They started every 20 mins but are now around 10-15 mins (with the last one being 7 mins! :eek: so am up timing them to see if they disappear like yesterday or whether this is the real thing so I can tell Ste to go in to work or not. Fingers crossed this isn't another false alarm or I'll be soooo peeved off! Hoping it's not though as yesterday we tried everything (including s.e.x in the end! lol) to try and kick start things again and I won't be pleased if I knackered myself up for nothing!!

Eating a pineapple, curry or ride on a bumpy road is set to get things going. My friend drank castor oil....which tastes awful. It worked for her but I don't think it's safe in any way.

my daughter gave birth last aug 2 weeks late she tried everything that has been suggested to you baby still only came when they started her off in hospital

(ooo just read that back and it sounds a bit rude)

I do hope that you haven't worn yourself out with all the nesting, but walk about for a bit witha cuppa and try to chill out for a bit.

IA, I don't "know" you but I'm here feeling your frustrations.

My third baby was a tease, every week for the last six weeks of my pregnancy she threatened to arrive, then changed her mind. Finally, 3 days before due date I had a whole day of contractions, very strong and close together by the evening, so I went off to hospital where they stopped! I insisted on being checked, where the midwife discovered I was 5cm dilated. They still thought I would be better at home but I wasn't moving!!! I persuaded the wonderful midwife to break my waters and just over three hours later my 9lb3oz girl was born.

Woke up with proper pains and everything at 5am and they were every 20 mins before going down to every 10 minutes but now they've dwindled down to nothing!!!!!!!
I'm so fed up!!!!!!!! Why can't my body just do what it's supposed to! How hard can it be??? This is the 2nd morning in a row I've been woken at 5am with regular contractions and this morning they've been really painful and I really though that this was it.
Steve even stayed off work and we called MIL and SIL to put them on red alert and I feel so stupid and like I can't even trust my own body!!!!! Why is this happening??????????? Argh!!!!!!! Am I actually going to go into labour properly and if I do will I actually know it's proper labour?????

*sigh*

Looks like it's back to normal today and going to take Steve into work in a little bit. This is starting to seriously take the !!!!.... and what's the deal with 5am???? It'd be fine if it was during the day but noooooo I have to have my sleep interupted as well!!

She was due last monday! She's now a full week overdue and I'm being induced on thursday if she doesn't appear before then!!
