  • I'll tell you what got my second labour started. We had been having a very bad time with b&q. For about the fifth time that month they hadn't turned up to deliver our kitchen. I had spent the day yelling at various incompetent staff. In the end i got so wound up that I sat down at my computer and started writing a complaint letter. Halfway through.......SPLASH!!! My waters broke everywhere!! A few hours later my baby boy was born.

I've always said that b&q started my labour.....I can give you their number if you want!

  • i was going to say the nipple twiddling too!! ;)

i got alternative nesting with my first - it was shopping for a bag  - wouldn't now that i've had my light bulb moment :rotfl:

thinking of you ia - its an exciting time but can be frustrating too - am remembering the overdue time now - and remember being v fed up too - all this stop start and the slightest twinge - have a chilling bath and be kind to yourself too

    I've been Money Tipped!
I ate three pineapples a day for a week and DS2 now loves them; did loads of scrubbing of floors and skirting boards to make sure he was in the right position, swam 40 lengths every day during the pregnancy, breast stroke, to make sure the head engaged, went on a three mile walk to buy a radiator key and he was still 8 days overdue. I haven't cleaned the skirting boards since (he's 2 1/2) but we're still eating pineapple ... hope all goes well and that baby arrives soon!!!

HI IA, sorry to bother you but I have asked my hubby if he can remember what the midwifes told us on how to induce labour and hes had a read through this thread and I'm saying "Oh, wouldn't it be nice to have another one - then Mollie (8 months) would have a playmate etc etc" and he said if you give birth today or tomorrow then I can have another one - hes' betting you have Kaitlyn after that - so, without any pressure at all, could you please hurry up and have your darling baby ;)

Apart from that, hope all is going well and you are not getting too stressed xx

  • Well I'm absolutely knackered but have managed to do pretty much everything on the list including a power walk down to the indian where I had a yummy lamb bhurma (Yea yea I know not spicy at all but it's got to be better than korma! ). Haven't managed the hoovering or the *ahem* s.e.x but there's still time for me to seduce (ha!) hubby.... not that he takes much seducing but having a huuuuugely pregnant woman all over you doesn't make for a very attractive sight I can tell you. :rotfl:
Her'es praying she gets a move on as I really REALLY don't want to have to be induced on thursday!!!!!

goodness me all this baby talk has got me feeling rather broody (my youngest will be 17 on his next birthday) so trying to persuade hubby might be a bit of a problem but my house could sure do with some intense nesting.
    good luck Sarah
