    Good luck Purple_sunshine!!!

I have another payment going in - £305.42! So my total is now £710.81 paid towards £13,500 of debt...will be up over £1,000 by the end of next month aswel. Definatly getting rid of it for good by xmas 2012. A years time we will all be on a thread titled "debt free....now what?!"
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
  • Hello everyone!

Just paid £50.00 off my CC so that takes my total to £135.00/£2529.33.

Also just cut up xmas cards to make 20 lovely new tags for next year. That has saved me a few quid in 2012 :)
I'm hoping to get all my ebay money soon too, so that will go straight in to the fund. Looking forward to a good start to my frugal 2012.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and whatever you do at NYE is fun / cheap / not a huge anticlimax! I'm going to a party at a friend's house, so fun and frugal - beats paying loads in a pub and not being able to get to the bar!
    :) Lightbulb moment Nov 2011 :)

Whats people opinions on this. Currently have virgin and pay between £75 - £80 per month ( husband has sports channels and tells me cheaper than him going out to watch )

However sky would cost the same but are doing £160 cashback just now through quidco. Is it worth changing is sky as good as virgin ?

    Hi
Never had Virgin so i can't really comment on them. What package do you have with them?
We have Sky and the full tv package is less than £75; or do you have internet included in this amount?
We have Sky Sports for the OH adn he wouldn't like to be without it!!
Also if you are happy with Virgin then it would be worth ringing them up and saying that you are thinking of leaving them for Sky to see what they will offer you to stay

  • Well I've made another payment - I keep buying things from the sales, and if the money isn't in my bank then I can't do that, and right now my priority NEEDS to be getting rid of these debts, so another £50 off the credit card...

    XMAS 2012 Challenge No.89! £650/£1550 41.94%!!:eek::eek::eek:

It seems rather unlikely (to say the least) that I'll get to 50% paid before payday at the end of January, but if I don't try then I never will!! :A

Ive had both and I personally prefer Sky and did find they worked out cheaper. Plus they are very good about offering you a deal if you ring up saying your leaving or as I did when DH was laid off, ring up and say your struggling financially and really dont want to leave them but are finding it hard to meet the payments.

I actually have TV, Phone and Broadband through them and im currently paying £40 for them (but I dont have sky sports) though I personally think its worth changing just for the cashback :rotfl:
