mrso2b I personally paid off the smallest ones first to make me feel better psychologically... after 2 years I'm only now paying off my second highest interest rate card but I have paid off my car, my friend, 2 credit cards and an OD. That makes me feel so much better
If it's the same interest rate then I don't think it makes much difference which you pay off but I think you'd feel better about having paid off a whole debt, especially just before christmas! xx
I've just paid £1.03 to the cc, new total:

Can I get some advice off you lovely people?
I have a credit card with Barclays which is currently charging me nearly £60 a month interest, so logic says that I should throw as much money at it as possible.
However, I also have a First Direct card which currently stands at £321. I could pay this off today and close the card which would be soooo satisfying!
But hubby says we should throw extra money at the Barclaycard as the interest on the First Direct card is only around a fiver a month.
Both cards are on the same interest rate.
What would you do?
If both cards are the same interest rate, the £321 on FirstDirect is costing EXACTLY the same as £321 on Barclays, so whichever you pay the £321 to, the total interest will be the same.
So, I would pay off the FirstDirect card so that its one more card out of the way, which can be cut up and account closed.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Hello all!
Payday today so I can pay off a few debts tonight. Had a bit of a surprise when I logged onto my bank to find I'd been paid £433 more than I should have. Thought maybe I'd got a special bonusbut it turns out Hubby's wage has gone into my bank and mine has gone into his :rotfl:. He's been moaning all wekk about how everyone is giving me our Christmas cards instead of to him and now I'm getting his wage :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh, the joys of working together
Ended up having to buy breakfast and lunch  as Hubby forgot to buy bread last night so Kerri, for the challenge, I'm going to pay an extra £9.60 towards my debts. How many loaves of bread could I have bought with that?:p All because he said it was too cold to go to the shop last night, MEN!0 -
Helloooooooooooo DF by xmas'ers
Ooooo I was so annoyed today!! Had a credit card bill come through the post today, IO excitedly opened it, relishing in the thought of paying more money . . . and it had a £0 balance :rotfl: Hubby was laughing at how my face fell :rotfl: :rotfl:
I was a bit naughty today, I went to see DS's christmas play today and my friend gave me a lift (I think she just liked the thought of using my blue badge) well she was moaning she was starving so we went to the sandwich shop and I bought DH a bacon and cheese melt for a whopping £2.75  I couldnt help it, hes been so good lately with spending, and has given up his sandwich shop sandwiches and maccy D's so I thought I would buy him a little treat

My first client of the day didnt turn up for their appointment  so I have been sat doing bits of paperwork all morning and doing a few surveys.
Today is the only day I work and I have my own lunch here - pasta salad with feta and tomatoes, its quite yummy. I have put 20p in our coffee kitty, but its better than popping to StarBucks on the way in.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
I'm baaaaack! Bet you didn't even notice i was gone did you? I have had a rotten virus and been in bed for the last 2 days
Which also means that I have lost out on a good £80 from having to call in sick. Boooo. On the plus side that's 2 NSDs aswell tho
I have spent a while catching up, glad to hear that we've made the weekly email!! It's cuz this thread is awesome!
Thanks psychopathbabble, I've just found a blood session on wednesday that the OH can trundle off to. This time of year is the worst for needing transfusions and I feel really bad that I can't help. I'm O+ so I have universal blood. But then again I wouldn't want anyone to have cancer or take the 4 pills a day that I take. I must rattle if you shake meI' not likely to put on much weight in my line of work either so I will have to leave that one for now.; Its a pain isn't it Kerri and Jake's Mum?
Lol ive been comping seriously since january, yes about £1350 is comp wins. I comp by end date so I fill in comps that end tomorrow today and then do some that finish last day of the month as well as there tends to be 80+ pages of comps for last day of the month :rotfl: I enter about 200 comps a day, I do have twitter and facebook as they are the easiest ones to do and I have Roboform which will fill in all my details for me on forms at the touch of a button.
I havent been comping as agressively this last month as everyone tends to take it up at this time then give up in the new year
This is such a good idea Jake's Mum, I'd never thought about this before. I remember a lady on come dine with me did this and she had a little book to keep track of them all and I remember thinking 'how does she find that many competitions?!' Now I know....I may try this one
Hugs to you Dorset Girl, I've currently got a sore throat and runny nose, not sure if ive got tonsilitis coming or if its just from the cold.
Oh and its SNOWING!!! Lily just looked out the window and announced 'it IS christmas now!!' ooooo I feel all christmassy nowI probably wouldnt if I had to drive in it, but I dont sooooo YAYYYYYYY SNOWWWWWW
Hugs to you DorsetGirl and Jake'sMum, I hope I didn't send my icky germs your way..I have been sneezing alot when I'm sat at the computer...:p It's snowing here too, hooray, I love the snow and I can still get to work so I am free to love it :rotfl:Sorry to everyone who doesn't though....Don't turn a slip up into a give up

I am being slightly pedantic but I don't care.
It is slightly less that what I had originally worked out so bonus!
PS Santander, YOU SUCK!!
I was on hold to you for 15 mins ON MY MOBILE  and I gave up, went by the balance from my credit report which I got last week!

I didnt get myself one, couldnt think of anything worse than a bacon roll with melted cheese in it  im intolerant to bacon and cant stomach much cheese, especially melted . I just watched him salivate all over it, he is doing a horrible temp job at the minute, working 8 hrs in an unheated factory up till 10pm each day, and hes not even moaning about it, so I thought he deserved something warm before he left today.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
