Ahhh Kerri I know your right, but im one of those people who see my debt as 'the presents bought before I had the money' :rotfl: :rotfl: I have actually given £25 of it to DS to pay for his karate test today (he passed with flying colours and is now a green belt
) and DH is demanding I remove it from the bank and put it back in my purse today before I 'forget'

You are all making me feel so bad making payments on your debt this close to Christmas. I have to confess that the credit card has been used for buying presents and also some gig tickets (couldn't resist!!!). Some of the money however is my brothers and friends so should get that back on their next payday and I am determined to pay off what I've spent on pressies on payday.
The other thing was that the car failed it's MOT and we had no choice but to pay for the repair on the credit card!
So in summary - all is not going well!! I will have to work out what my new total will be when it's all gone through and will update my sigStill want it gone by end of next year though! fingers crossed for a good bonus and payrise!!!

Just have to tell you something funny... We could hear some scratching noises coming from the ceiling in the kitchen but it sounded big. There was a loud bang and we ran upstairs as it seemed to be coming from the bath panel! We could hear wings flapping so tried to unscrew the bath panel off (my dad had gone out shopping so just me and my mum) but 2 of the screws just kept turning round and round and all the time the wings are fluttering against the inside of the bath panel and we desperately wanted to get the bird out... It then started to climb up the inside of waste pipe casing leading to the loft... We didn't hear any chirping and don't think a bird of that size could climb so we now think it could be a bat!!! We're waiting till my dad gets home cos there ain't no way I'm going into the loft to have a look!!!!!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

PammyH, I love that people are still able to make payments over the christmas period but this challenge started very late in the year and everyone's circumstances are different. I got a christmas bonus this year so could pay a lot more than just my normal monthly repayments but I'd not saved for christmas so I was lucky.
In a very weird way I am glad it's bothering you that you have had to use your credit card as it shows and change in your thinking and your perception that a credit card is actually just a debt card. I'm sure that come January you and the rest of us will be able to really bust this debt. December is the most expensive time of year don't forget, but it won't be for us all next Christmas in 2012, just remember that and it will keep you going. xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Grr I feel bad that I'm using my credit card as a debit card now, even if I'm paying in full. Right, that's going to be the next thing to get reduced me thinks. Thanks guys and girls, cabbage soup for the rest of the month for me so I stop spending on credit :rotfl:(only joking, but seriously will spend less on the c/c each month in order to pay it off). Afterall, if you're all doing it then I can hardly not :TDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
