Hello lovely ladies (and gentlemen- just realised Im not 100% on genders etc!) Im a girl btw, Im 35 with 4 kids ranging from 14-3 and a husband whos not to shabby (for a 48 year old LOL) I work part time for a well known weight loss company, not the one that begins with W.
ANyway- I feel like I am spending money like bloody water at the moment- BUT the good news is that its all "real" money and I have used my credit card VERY little this christmas *yay* I have got nearly all my shopping- just need the kids stockings stuff (thatll be one trip to Hawkins Bazaar, a voucher for brother in law, a DS game for nephew and some clothes for baby niece and some cheese (yes- really ) for mums husband but I am going to make husband get them as I have been running round like a loon sorting everything else out)
Because of this I havent made any great inroads into the debt but Vanquis is now £221 and Im sure it was over £300 not so long ago.
I went into the challenge for the week today- I walked through CEX while in town and started looking at dvds and games thought- I dont NEED any and walked on by! I then put a book back in Poundland ( mind: its only a pound, quite fancy reading that MSE mind: PUT IT BACK- the pounds add up- if its in poundland it must be shart anyway!) then I went to the fabric shop to buy fake fur to make #3's nativity costume- he is a cow- and I only bought half a metre instead of a metre! I was then so proud of myslef that I went to primark and bought some jeans and leather gloves. Oops. My bad BUT I needed the gloves and the jeans were leopard print and anything leopard print is allowed (did I mention I am usually head to foot in leopard print LOL)
Anyway- I spoke to Co-op bank today and it seems Satan-tander are FINALLY releasing my Direct Debits back to the Co-op so I should be able to get a bit financially straighter and start blitzing these debts.
oh and one more thing! I was FURIOUS with Very sending me an email saying "YOu have £1000 to spend!" um actually Very no I dont. I have access to £1000 CREDIT LIMIT with STUPENDOUS interest. A few years ago I would have gone "whooo hooo £1000! new shoes, new bag, wardrobe" etc with NO thought to the actual cost. I am now just so pleased its at zero that the emails like that make me feel smug and all warm insideHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Can someone please inform my sister that we do not need a real christmas tree that will only last a year and is adding to global warming, and that an artificial one for £10 would suffice. She's not listening to me and it's doing my head in. I don't have £40 to spend on a tree and she is in a worse financial situation than I am arrrrgggghhhhDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Noooooooooooo dont get a real tree! its a total waste of money and what did thet tree do to deserve to be chopped down anyway :rotfl:
I know I swear blue murder when im having to drag our fake one down from the loft with its god awful individual branches and the slots that seem to have gunk stuck in a few so you have to hurt your fingers forcing them in but it only cost me £30 (half price as well I might add) and its certainly done its job for the last 5 years
Talking of god awful jobs, after dragging my sorry backside round all the shops (and me poor old mum too) trying to find a bl**dy santa claus outfit for DS's christmas play, ive had to sit and make him one out of some pyjama bottoms, an old jumper, different coloured paper, some cushion stuffing  and a shed load of double sided tape  It looks good but grrrSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
we got a fake tree last year after spending £50-£60 every year on a real one that sheds everywhere and drives me BONKERS and is thrown outside by Dec 28th. My fake tree is up and decorated and looking beautful now and I love it whereas I had nothing but contempt for its "real" predesessors (sp) LOL OK I miss the smell a bit but thats what Yankee Candles are for, surely
I am off to cover a class in the middle of nowhere tonight and Im terrified - its peedling down out there and I HATE driving in the dark at the best of times and I have to go right the other side of the city to a rurally bit. Ah well, its £25 in the bankHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

I have a confession.... I am on call at work which involves sitting in the airport for 7 hours... I've purchased a drink and noodles for lunch at a cost of £4.94 (cash) but then also purchased a toffee nut latte for £2something on my card
In my limited defence I didn't have anything at home to take in to eat except lemon curd sandwiches!

I'm astounded... I cancelled my direct debit for my contact lenses (as it's a luxury since I bought very expensive glasses earlier this year) and just received a cheque for £50 from them and I have idea why???!!!! YIPEE!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Once that's banked then that will be an extra £50 off my debt and closer to getting rid of my loan in a couple of months. What a lovely surprise!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
