OMG how much of a muppet am I this morning....

Had a completel panic about the interest on my cc (understandable I feel) only ask the question on the main debt free board and then kind of realise that as I have now stopped spending on it :D my min payments are more than the interest/ppi charges :o

How stupid do I feel :o:rotfl:

    So that's ok now :T

  • Hi Pea!

Welcome back and happy new diary! Just read through so far and sounds like you're on top of things - I love that feeling. I'm 2 months in now and have never felt more positive about money despite being at my worst position ever!

Give the e-baying a bash - wont hurt to try and have you looked at any of the sites for surveys etc? Quidco? It all adds up :)

Will subscribe and follow your journey and hopefully be of some use at some point!

hi Pea! Just been catching up as I was away last week so missed what was going on :)

Here is what I have found 1 week without diet coke made it taste really horrible when I came back. So fingers crossed I can stay away from the diet coke now..

If you happen to log on today and catch this I think that it is a free listing weekend on ebay. I'm going to try to whip up afew things this evening but I've got a lot to do today so I might miss it :(

Also, if you are selling handmade things then Folksy , might be better. I think the fees are much much less than ebay.. It's a bit like Etsy but UK based, although you can use Etsy too..

Also- you could make £10,000 on ebay. Just sell 10,000 things for £1 profit.. of course that would be harder than it sounds. First you have to find 10,000 things to sell. Then make £1 after all fees and postage, and then you'd have to pay tax on extra income if you were buying in to sell... Hmmm, I wonder if you could work out optimum selling price per item to make £1 profit? Ok, I've gone off on a tangent but theoretically, it could be done! :)

    Thanks that made me smile!!

Right things have been ticking along, many NSD's :D but it's payday tomorrow so time for hard budgeting.

I have 2 possibly 3 events in Dec, works christmas meal, a friends b'day and a christmas meal with some friends :).

The 2 meals I am driving for, so can't drink (will save money) the b'day meal I intend to have the cheapest thing on the menu, and the other meal I'm hoping that it changes to eating in at their house or that they offer to pay (I look after their cat while they are away with work so this sometimes happens) if not then again cheapest thing on the menu. NO PUDDINGS :( saves money and will help with the weight lost :D.

Talking about weight lost, I've put on 4lbs in 2 weeks :mad: How I have no idea, but I need to do something about it, Primarni shopping when I'm slimmer, not fitting at the moment :o. The diet coke thing was going well, 1 bottle from home every other day.... until today when I manage 2 bottles :o:mad:

Ebay has been a bit of a non starter, something I am going to work on this weekend (once I have recovered from friday nights hangover)

Laura - I've never heard of those websites, but I will have a look, this is the kind of thing I've been doing on the candles, but I'm not sure that they would sell:

Ok off to sort out the budget will be back in a bit

  • Ooo just been able to update my sig for the 1st time :D everything has gone down a little which is nice.

Budget kind of sorted for Dec, basically spend as little as possible!! :rotfl: Must get back into Ebay I made a nice bit of money last time and it will all help towards over paying on my CC.

I have Christmas all sorted present wise so nothing more to spend there!

One of my other big failings is spending money on hobbies etc, I'm a bit arty so have so many things on the go all the time, I've made a promise to myself that I won't spend any more on arty/crafty things until I've used up everything/done all the projects I have on the go at the moment. I've even going to try and get some of them to make me some cash.

Still feeling a little stressed at all the juggling I've going to need to do, but trying to keep on the positive side at the same time.

Time for some facebook me thinks
