Hello!
Time for the evening post
ended up with a small spend today, I needed some salad stuff to make my dinner more interesting. But considering how things were I'm ok with that.
I do have a bit of an issue though
We have our works christmas do on the 2nd (which I have already paid my deposit for) which I am really looking forward to, I have a lovely outfit which doesn't make me look too fat :T and I have a lovely Mum who is going to pick me up so I can have a drink or 2. And a very attractive work colleague asking if I'm going to have a drink and a party with him
:rotfl:
So the problem, I have a friend who's a single Mum (and doing a very good job) but she wants me to go out with her on the 16th Dec, obviously I can't afford to do both and to be honest I don't want to. I've had a night out with her recently which left me very very stressed . But I know she'll take offence when I say I can't do it because I can't afford it, She will also expect me to drive which will add petrol costs as well. Which irritates me because she's been complaining about finding the money for her son's shoes (but she has enough cash to smoke and drink  ) anyway, she'll just have to lump it.
I just hate that being sensible about my debt and not spending out to much makes some people behave like this.
ok rant over :A

Morning all
Just getting ready for work, aiming for 4 days in a row taking my onw lunch and not buying anything.
Feeling a little icky thoughso hoping I'm not getting some kind of bug, I'm not ill enough to not go to work, but I certainly don't feel right.
Anyway, need to make lunch, iron something and remember to get the discount code for the RAC from work today and actually call them
See you later

Hi- I think that you probably have already made your decision about going out with your friend. Why would you swap and evening out you are looking forward to, for one that you are not excited by and cost you in petrol? If your friend doesn't like the explanation of lack of funds then, well, that's too bad really. If she's a real friend then she'll support you.
Thats what I think anyways0 -

Your right I have made my mind up I'm not going. It's a night out I don't need and don't really want to go on anyway.
Work one will be much more fun
Nothing much to report today, small spend on chocolate bar which I know is bad, but I needed itFRIDAY tomorrow :Twhich means I finish early.
So plans for the weekend....
Housework on Saturday morning, watch sexy work colleague play footie saturday afternoonand the Sunday I'm off out with a friend to look at the christmas shop at a local garden centre and possibly a cuppa and cake, bit I am going to hunt around as I'm sure I've seen a voucher for that somewhere .
OK, tomorrow lunch from home again. I also need to dig out the left over wrapping paper from last christmas and see if it will cover this year. Oh and I really need to write the discount code for the RAC down.
Have fun everyone

Hi there Pea,
I'm struggling to shift a Diet Coke habit and can't beliebe how much I spend! I buy the cans and always keep the fridge stocked. I probably have 2-3 cans a day and although I only buy the multipacks in deals, I think I spend about £35-£40 a month.
Today I ran out! Instead of going to the shop for more, I diluted some squash in a big bottle for work. I'm going to miss it tomorrow, but I'm going to try and be strong! I'm hoping going cold turkey will stop my addiction, and then that's money in the pot!
Good luck
