Tappers big hugs for you. At least you know you aren't going nuts.
I am sat here in tears, my dsis is just off the phone. My very favourite uncle in the whole world has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I had an inkling something was going on, I don't see him so much now, but at my sister's wedding we had a good long talk and he was telling me about his health fading, and some different tests he has been having. I am pretty devestated for him, he was an alcoholic for a long time, and did a fabulous job of turning his life around, I am very proud of him.
No OS at all here yet today, I am off to visit mil then coming back to make hm veggie burgers and chips for dinner, and paint the hall ceiling.
Have a nice evening all. Big hugs from me to you.

Jackie- so sorry to hear about your uncle.
Lou- keep up the good work!
Ive had good news today, friend just diagnosed with liver cancer got her scan results, tumour is on the surface of the liver, not growing in it, and the pain shes been having is due to her arthritis. She starts 4-8 weeks of radiotherapy next week, and is so relieved, she was nearly speechless when she phoned!:D
I am freezing tonight, heating is on but feet like icicles, I even bought pyjamas for myself today when in Pradamark doing a spot of crimbo shopping.
Dinner is spaghetti and meatballs, better get the water on for the pasta before OH starts to raid the fridge!!!RIP Iain

Evening all,
gosh there are some bad things around at the moment for a lot of folk on here I shall have a 'stern word' with The Big Guy tonight.
Lou chin up honey you are getting there slowly but surely. I think of you and just want to send you a hug as everyone needs one of those at times.
Tappers my eldest DD is 44 and going through her menopause and her moods swings at times are awful but its sadly something we all have to get through.HRT saved my sanity years ago when I had an early one at 42, great for the 'hot flushes' as well.I'm sure if men had to cope with what we all put up with something would have been invented to help more.
Well my pal came to lunch and we had a great knit and natter today .I made a chicken and mushroom casserole and there is enough left over for another two meals.I also made a nice apple crumble from the windfalls and it was delish.:D
Tomorrow in the morning I am off to get son-in-law a birthday present with my youngest Dd.She knows what sort of sweater he wants as its his birthday at the end of the month Then in the afternoon she is coming with me to the hospital as I have my echocardiogram to be done.
I managed to get a couple of annuals for Jack &Henry and Mikey has his Where's Wally set of books that he loves.I shall see if I can get a book of some sort for Ben tomorrow as well as I like to give them all a book along with their Christmas presents as it helps to amuse them on Boxing Day.
Katie is at 18 a bit more difficult to buy for so I will probably get her some nice Body Shop smellies and make up and bag it up in a nice bag for her
Talking of bags my eledest DD emailed me just now to say her headmasters wife was 'tipping ' a lot of designer handbags:eek: and he brought them in to see if she wanted any, and she has gor several that are nice and she said she has got me a 'Radley bag' which is apparently the bees knees in bags for me, she said is is worth over a £100.00.:eek::eek:I know she bought herself one when she was in New York last year and its really nice but to me a bag is a bag and I wouldn't pay over £100.00 for a handbag but then I am a frugal old dear at the best of times. Her bosses wife likes to have a throw out before Christmas as she has a wealthy family that spends that sort of money. My DD was appalled that she was literally going to throw the bags on the rubbish tip.She said they are barely used Some folk have more money than sense. But I will happily have a 'second-hand ' one
Well time for a cuppa ,hope you all have a good evening
take care
JackieO xx0
