Ladies, hope all is well, I havent read the thread for the past few days:o:o. So have to catch up. Am really just popping back in with some updates. My niece is getting more and more feeling in her feet , the physio has been to see her , I wasnt there so will find out more from my sister in a bit. Just having an hour or two at home as have neglected everyone since the accident. Well the house is still standing and everything is tidy. They have been fantastic whilst I have hardly been home , kept on top of everything. My extra 'son' Andrew asked me if I wanted him to move out whilst I was at the hospital so as not to give me any extra stress , bless him I would have been worrying about him more if he wasnt at mine. I have just been into my bedroom and found another box and a suitcase of his mums stuff .Am going to try getting hold of her before I go back to the hospital to see how she is. Woofer went mad when he saw me , wouldnt get off my lap for 15 mins:eek:. Off for a coffee , bath and to pop some washing on, will be going back to the hospital this evening, but will start sleeping at home again as from tomorrow now we know that the 'worse' is over.
Thanks again ladies for everything.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Hi all,
Not been around much lately, but glad to here that Lou is making a little progress.
Things have gone a bit hectic at this end, can,t really say why, but I am fed up with being the Lynch pin, terrible thing to say, but when I feel in need of support at home, everyone seems to be busy:mad: anyway enough of the self-pity:cool:
Up early, WM on, DW emptied, lunches made, and chicken out of freezer for tonight,s curry:D
Home early from work as school called to say DS has bashed his head on a wall (????!) and has a small cut, with alot of blood, and they send the kids home with any head injury, fair enough I suppose, he,s now sat with his feet up consoling himself with the PS3 :rotfl:
Hope everyones ok, have a fab evening xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Afternoon all,
feeling a bit brighter today (thank goodness!) Yes, we have lots of debt, but we'll sort it eventually. At least it's not getting any worse anymore and OH is being really open about it all for the first time in years so that's a big improvement.
Was feeling motivated enough to being my gym stuff to work with me today so I could go on the way home, not sure that's going to happen now though as not feeling brilliant (have endo, so some days are bad pain days). Got another couple of hours here yet so will see how I feel when I leave.
Dinner tonight is chicken risotto with the leftovers from sunday's roast. Had never actually roasted a chicken before (I know!!) and am really pleased with how it turned out. Was lovely! Shame the jelly didn't go so well. I make little tubs of jelly and fruit for our packed lunches (yes, we are like children lol) but I forgot and put some pineapple in and now it hasn't set. I made 8 of them for the week so we have runny jelly all week now!
Hope everyone's doing ok today and the sun is shining on you all. Take care xx.0 -
Thanks you lovely lot,
Went to see dad again today, and tbh he was worse than yesterday very aqgitated, but I felt a bit stronger today, fed him lunch, rabbit stew and dumplings, with fruit crumble and double cream, he was not settled at all today, I asked them to put his chair at the window, and away from the b****y tv which is blaring all day, the sun was on him and he was dozing, so I left him. He did roar with laughter at one of the nurses boots, and said she looked like Max Wall:rotfl:, bless him. I do make him some cakes once a week, took a load into him yesterday, he loves them :T
Came back and took the dog over the fields for a couple of hours to blow the cobwebs away, I go over and have a good think about dad, he loved walking so much, makes me feel close to him.
Saw a huge buzzard on a fence post, very close to me, twas a beautiful bird, and discovered a fig tree with ripe figs, so bought 4 back for OH, he loves them.
NPM hope chook is ok xx
islandmaid hope ds head is ok xx0 -
Redruby - I feel bad that I forgot to say, hope your dad,s okay - my brains a bit scrambled at the moment, and DS has decided that a packet of sweets will make him feel better (good blag from him) so I don,t think there will be any long term damageNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi everyone.
This weather is amazing. Walked up the High Street this a.m. and saw all sorts of clothes from shorts, Tshirts and sandals to coats, scarves, gloves and boots. One lady, dressed in the last lot and looking like a beetroot said,"This is November and this is what I wear in November." I just keep thinking of what we're saving on heating.
FW: Please be careful, I know you must be sick to death of being careful but these sorts of men never give up. I heard from a third party this weekend that my ex has been trying to find out where I am. It's nothing sinister but when someone has rained on his parade he needs to take out his fury on someone and in the past it has been me or our 2 sons. It usually takes the form of a long, rambling letter where he tells us what dreadful people we are and how he has been wronged. He seems to forget that we know the truth about him and are unimpressed. For the past few years we have disappeared from his radar which must infuriate him. For heaven's sake, we have been divorced for nearly 30 years and he still isn't over it!:mad:
Well, I didn't intend to write any of that but I really feel for you FW, it is much worse for you.
Uolypool: It's so good to hear that things are improving. You must have been such a support to your sister and niece, and bless your family for keeping the show on the road at home. Little stars.
Lou: Oh! Well done for the drinking. You deserve bouquets and a standing ovation. Here, have a smiley....:)
Am now going to have a real blitz on my paperwork and make a fruitcake for a Xmas Fair on Friday.I believe that friends are quiet angels
