    DFW things I've done today:
    - Tried to pay £10 to my cc and failed, no idea why as my debit card is accepted everywhere else hmmm
    - Cleaned the bathroom
    - Cleaned the kitchen sink
    - Sorted my bookshelf and rearranged books into more aesthetically pleasing height order
    - Paid £10 into my NR ISA that I've had since September but never used
    - Sorted through 3 boxes on the "boxes shelves"
    - Setup a standing order to transfer £50 weekly from HSB to Lloy, ready to learn to budget
    - Changed names on 3 online savers to: "house deposit", "car insurance", "car tax" ready to transfer funds into each month
    - Moved £5.69 to Lloy, then into house deposit for todays VSP
    - Ordered a 52pc bolt set for £2.69 from fleabay to be able to tighten seal round windows

    Things I need to do:
    [STRIKE]- Put away washing[/STRIKE]
    - Finish sorting boxes
    - Start fleabaying clothes again
    - File away paperwork
[STRIKE]- Collect car from 1.3miles away where it's free parking ready to drive to Ipswich tomorrow[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Maybe take HM's dogs for a walk down to my car with me so they can get some fresh air[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Sort something for tea[/STRIKE]

I think it's defo an OCD trait, it really annoys me if they're even the slightest bit out. I don't care what order they are in as long as the height is right :)

Oh it's this weeks DFWBX mini challenge, anything that's trying to sell you something that comes into your inbox supermarkets, high street stores, etc you have to click "junk" then "block". It's to stop them bombarding us with advertising, and temptation :) Although I am also getting rid of the clutter :)

:rotfl: you would hate my bookcase... I don't care if they're aesthetically pleasing so long as I can find stuff, and I section them by topic even if it means putting some in sideways

    Hi Kerri

Good to catch up on your diary - a really busy day..well done. More than I managed on my last day off:o but will have to try better tomorrow!

Ebaying has been good to me over the last week. Clothes havent been going quite so well although shifted 2 'evening' type pieces so not all bad. Anyway best of luck

    *hides from Rosa's bookcase*

Nice to hear from you Brizzle :) I didn't even have a day off yesterday, I was working as well :)
I've been on customer site in Ipswich today, so I have had a spendy day :(
    Windscreen wiper: £15
    Petrol: £25.08
    Apple danish: 80p
    Sarnie: £2.80
    Lucozade: 2 for £2
    Frazzles: 57p

So that's over £6 that I didn't need to spend. My mechanic has said my brakes don't need doing yet though :) and has recommended a tyre & alignment place I can use when I can afford new tyres on the front. He's recommended I just go for normal cheapo tyres, especially as I don't go over the speed limit (normally drive at 65mph) and I keep a good braking distance at all times, so if they're a bit slippy it doesn't matter. He says it's not worth paying for the name.

My wing nuts for the windows arrived today, I've put one on the window that's got the new seal and I can already notice a massive noise difference really impressed. I know it's never going to be silent as it's single glazing and we're on a busy road, but I'm doing everything I can to reduce it at least :)

The new job is going really well, I've realised today how much more I enjoy it than my previous one. I might not be doing the actual dirty work, but giving advice and coming up with strategies is really interesting. I'm especially loving the problem solving side of things, I think this shall be grand. Next I need to decide on a specialisation so I can be an expert in that field within my department. Just need to decide what I'm most interested in :)

The petrol cost £25.07 and I did 190 miles today, so shall get back about £48 plus some tax back as well, which to be fair is a good turnaround :) I know it has to go towards the wear and tear of the car, so from next month I might shove it into a car savings account. I'm working from home tomorrow, so will aim for another NSD. Will hopefully be able to put the other seals on the window and tighten them with the wing nut :) quieter room = happier Kerri.

Right, I should probably do the bits of work I needed to get done today but couldn't as I was on site. Hope everyone is well x

    Hi again!!

This sounds good..liking the job AND liking the upside on the car use. I agree it will be wear and tear but does sound like it can go into a car saving account so that's all good.

These window wing nuts sound amazing..are you fitting them to wooden sashes? Can't really envisage what they look like but seems like a real find

    Cheers
