    I very much hope there will be a 2013 challenge Vicky. I have lost focus recently and need to get back on track.

    Hi guys,

    In answer to the 2013 question, yes there will be a challenge running, I've had them running for many years now. However, I don't have the time to dedicate to MSE, (this isn't the only place the challenge runs, this is just a version of the original) so it will depend on who offers to run it once it's set up for the new year. I usually set up the new challenge threads later in December, so there's no confusion about where anyone should be posting.

    Hoping Slowlyfading will agree to continue looking after you all on here, as she's been in charge this past year. :D

    Roundup from me, on my own participation in this: I'm still sticking with the £4,000 per year cost of living and have the grand total of £470.81 remaining. However, the car is in the garage being MOT'd right now, so that will knock a sizeable chunk off the balance. Seriously hoping there are no big problems, otherwise I'll be wiped out and nobody will be getting Chrissie pressies. :)

    I'll look after it if you set up the thread and do the first post? That's no problem at all :D

  • Need to really get back into this next year :o

    I did quite well learning new things last year and have plodded along but haven't really been errrrr looking for new things IYKWIM.

    Been working on 2013 budget - so far looking around £15k _pale_ - however that is everything including mortgage, council tax costs etc.

    :question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question::question:

    Couple of questions re setting figure for next year (this year I included everything and it was up to around £14.5k)

    • Please can those with little budgets let me know what you do / don't include?
    • Also, if you have a partner / share the costs with someone, is this your 1/2 or share - or the total household cost?:huh:
    May be back with more later :o

  • Thanks Dizzy. I'm rather excited, but very nervous too. We have decided (looks back at my post, realises I've missed out a big/scary announcement), I asked him to move in. He said yes, so we are going for after Christmas, giving us all time to get used to it. So super excited and terribly nervous. I'm clearing out like a woman possessed, which being a hoarder is some amount of clearing! But Santa needs space for the new toys (thank you clubcard points!) And need some space for his stuff/clothes.
    Don't know if I told u all, I sort of participated in the October dress project, where u pick 1 dress and wear it every day throughout October. I selected a few outfits as I was starting the new job and didn't want them to think I was weird/poor/strange etc, but it has made me realise I don't need a room full of clothes, most that dont fit or look good on me. What it has made me realise, is I need jumpers! I have one, and its past its sell by/wear by , by about 5 years haha.

    How is the milk diet going?

    Sorry, yet again I have forgotten all the things I wanted to ask. Will be back later when I remember.
