Nope - this is the thread, there hasn't been many posts this year so it hasn't reached the post limit, hence why it's still part 1!

    Hope evrryone is well x

  • Hope evryone is doing ok with their frugal efforts. Tricky time of the year with Christmas just round the corner - however I am doing well with pressies as I have made quite a few gift sets. Easy peasy - some nice shampoo/conditioner or shower gels etc, cellophane and a bow to finish off. Can be as big as you wish - nice for the childrens teachers as well and very useful.:T:T

Ahhh right. Did we start a new thread at the beginning of the year though? I remember something vaguely about one thread ending and this one starting. Shame that the thread has quietened down again. Hopefully it will pick up again soon. Miss reading everyone's posts as well as past peeps like Aril and Ruby :(

Lovely idea Thrifty, I bet they look pretty too :) I saw a similar thing on a blog were they'd bought little jars from Ikea and filled with small chocs and tied a ribbon round. Cost less than a box of chocs and the jar would be reuasble. Oooh I'm looking forward to Christmas. I've started on my christmas present list too and have bought new christmas table decorations from dun*lm :)
Off this week for half term and OH has booked the week off too. Trying to get lots of rest and relaxation.
    Hope everyone is ok.

  • Hi All. Frugal plans going well here but I feel I need to plan more 'events' as one evening seems to be the same as the other with the two of us parked in front of the TV.

Having fewer TV nights and going for walks or having board games/jigsaws etc and having in house movie nights using our exisitng DVDs. It will take a little effort and sometimes it s just so much easier to watch TV!

Frugal plans for the next week:

    1. Budget for the month ahead. OH Pay Day tomorrow. Organise finances.
    2. Visit charity shop to see if any jigsaws
    3. Look out old board games.
    4. Check OHs shift pattern and plan day out (fugal style) on one of his days off.
    5. Inventory the freezer and cupboards and food plan.
    6. Start new supply teaching job at local school:j. Packed lunches daily.
    7. Plan movie night and other weekly activities.
    8. Food shop. This month we are aiming for £25 per week for food. So need to shop smart and keep an eye on special offers etc.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Gosh, it's so gloomy here today. Because it's so cloudy, it's still pretty dark so it's even more gloomy than normal. I'm just sat in the office drinking some herbal tea and about to start to marking - the joys! - so trying to stay warm and awake!

Today is NSD 17 for the SF household, made easier by the fact that I've left my purse at home ;) don't need anything and now can't be tempted by anything! :rotfl:

Hope everyone else has a good day :)
