Ouch, in pain! But can't stop laughing.
I was upstairs clearing a little and took a breakfast bowl and my fone down stairs, near the bottom I seen a charger that I left in the middle of a stair, instead of missing the stair out as I intended, I caught the edge of the stair with the charger on it, which would have been fine, if I wasn't wearing my jogging bottoms that are too big now I lost all that weight last year (size 18/20/22-12, stress has some advantages) and slipped, legs went in the air, I fell backwards - thankfully! Crash landed on my bum, my upper back and head bounced of the stair and then I slipped down the remainder stairs. Fone fell and separated, but I still had the bowl in my hand! I was fine last night but today I ache everywhere.

I'm mildly addicted to buying toilteries too and expensive ones at that. I've decided to use up all the stuff I have in at the moment before buying anything else. I made the switch from showergel to soap - it lasts so much longer and too try and buy toiltries when on offer so I have quite a good stockpile. I should be able to get To at least the summer without getting more soaps.showergels and I have a few months of deodrant and toothpaste in stock. I wrote an email to complain to S*drug about them closing their store seven minutes early so they sent me a gift card which I'll use to replenish stocks later in the year.
I really overspent thins Christmas so this month has been tight. However boosted slightly by an unexpected £100 paid from Quidc0 for a broadband contract I bought last August and some other random payment plus a cheque from my union to cover fuel expenses to one of their events I attended in the autumn.
The last two days have been spend days (boo) but on little things like nail polish remover and some cleaning products - plus a little top that I loved. I have never been able to get with the vinegar and bicarb brigade and A*da have a cleaning event so my fave smell nice products were less than half price so I stocked up. The possible new Mr Chika also came round last night so spent a bit on a takeaway and some booze but it came up to less than twenty pounds so much much cheaper than a night out and a meal.
Hope you're all having a great frugal weekendThere are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0 -

I did my first order yesterday. I should have hung on before ordering and may have got free delivery. Still pleased with my savings I spent £16 including deliver. Most of it was Gluten Free goodies for DS and some other bargains including a Beatles T-shirt:rotfl:My finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -
Hi LolaLemon nice that you keeping up beat about your tumble:) hope you feel better soon.
I'm hoping to hit the approved food site after i run down the christmas stocks but i think i might register now and see if they offer me free deliverythanks for the info natnat13.
Thought i'd share my own little frugalling victory of the day, i found the cat a new cat tree on zooplus which was on offer at £49.90 i then found a 13% off code for new customers taking it down to £43.41. I get 5% cashback from the site through my work rewards site so it will have cost £41.24 and my neighbour has offered me £45 for the old cat tree for his daughter who has just got 2 kittens.
So i will actually make money on getting the cat a new toy :rotfl: not much but every little helps.
The old tree is really good still, its made of wood not cardboard like a lot of the ones you find now but its shelves and i live with a cat that likes boxes so he has a more hidy tree coming.
Fingers crossed he likes it;)
Oh yes 13% off code for new customers on zooplus is GTVCJAN12 or 15% off if you spend over £55 is GMTVCO112.Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )

DSIL is not working tomorrow, so ..................... I have the whole weekend free! :j He's taking me to and from the station tomorrow, and my friend and I are having a Jolly in London, treating ourselves to a 2 for 1 in whichever restaurant takes our fancy in the Strrand/Covent Garden, a luxurious wee in the Savoy and then my beloved Dreamboats again. :T
Hope everyone has a super and super-frugal weekend.
xx
Sending 'vibes' to your DD Sandra & hugs to you - enjoy your day you really deserve itSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

PIC - that made me laugh, when I was little my mum used to say I was just like the Trio girl!!!!........oh, how I LOVED Trios!!
LolaLemon.....you were very lucky not to have done yourself damage!! I've done the same in my joggers, it's easily done.
NSD here today, but I did go to B&Q to get some wallpaper samples for our bedroom which needs doing in the spring! We are planning on keeping our curtains and bedding to keep the costs down, but will patch up the walls where the picture rails have been taken out and repaint, and have a wallpaper feature wall behind our bed. It's the only room upstairs which needs doing and you know what it's like - you tend to shove the 'stuff' in your room because no one goes in there......so I'm decluttering like mad ready to make it nice!!!
I hope everyone has had a good day xx0 -
Can just see the headline in the news for Lola-Lemon and her 5 sizes too big jogging bottoms "Lola-Lemon takes Frugal living to the extreme - no pain, no gain"
Seriously, I hope you are okay. It's a good job you didn't land on the charger. My mate broke her ribs once by falling down the stairs and landing on the a washing basket at the bottom of the stairs.0
