Yes. You do not have the right to withdraw a resignation without the employer's consent. Unless you can negotiate anything different, your original resignation stands and they are quite entitled to act upon it.0 -

does your contract say notice must be in writing?0 -
but the notice must have been withdrawn or the op would have have left last Friday as that is 6 weeks from the last day of SeptemberYes. who really gives a verbal notice? IF they wanted to get of someone they could just say 'oh yeah you gave us verbal notice'!!0 -
I don't understand, you told your ops manager it would be the end of November. The 28th is the end of November.0

thats what i mean, , they have employed somebody to take over my role but they dont have any written notice that im leaving . verbal notice what the hell
ive been there 6 years and ive bent over backwards for that company but they dont see all that0 -
So let's get this straight. They are not relying on the written resignation, but on the verbal one they say you gave to your manager. So how do you say you withdrew the verbal resignation?0

you handed your notice in
you withdrew your notice
your manager asked when you were leaving
you said 'end of november'
they've told you that your last working day is 28th November
so what is it you're complaining about?0 -

i spoke to my manager and asked if i could withdraw my notice she said thats fine when are you looking on leaving i said around novemeber (i understand i said that) but surely a written notice is more solid as proof, it could be my word againt theres?0
