Hi my clever little grandson has just passed his 11+ and I have promised to take him to Disneyland Paris .As we don't live too far from Ashford I thought a train through to there would be a good idea as he isn't too good on coaches .Anyone have any ideas where I could get a trip for the two of us for a couple of days that won't put me in the poor house
I am a 60+++ grandma and he is 11 years old .I am so proud of him as he has worked so hard.:j

IF you can't find a package deal with Disney or some other company cheaply, then how about a 2 or 3 night Eurostar deal to Paris with https://www.driveline.co.uk then Disney entrance tickets separately? For example, for certain dates in February, you can get 2 nights in Paris with Eurostar tickets for just over £213 than add on Disney day passes for £53, in advance from https://www.unpackagedattractions.co.uk, or from metro stations for €80 (again around £53). That gives you a total of £266 for 2 days in Paris and 1 day at Disney, just have to add on the cost of RER to Disney (don't know cost, perhaps maximum of €15 for the 2 of you). I think with there being just the 2 of you that you may find it difficult to find a good priced packaged inclusive package deal as the Disney hotels are set up for 4 people in the main!!!
I would really recommend avoiding Disney Paris on weekend days as the Parisians get ultra cheap season passes so fill the park up those days.0 -
I would agree with this, having been daft enough to visit on a w/end shortly before xmas, never again. Don't suppose he has a teacher training day coming up soon as you could then use this day as part of the trip, if it attaches onto one of the w/ends.BernadetteN wrote:I would really recommend avoiding Disney Paris on weekend days0 -
nearest airport is Gatwick about 60 miles away ,but Ashford International eurostar train staion is only about 25 miles from me .I can get my DD to drop us off and pick us up easily enough from Ashford .someone told me that the train goes directly into DP and you can get picked up and taken to your holtel from there .Re time off ,because my DGS has got such an excellent mark in his exam my DD is going to see his head teacher and see if he can have two midweek days off from school as a holiday .snowf1ake wrote:When are you thinking of going and what is your nearest airport?

I've just looked at the prices quoted on Eurostar's own website - the Eurostar tickets direct to Disney are very popular so I thought that Eurostar would be the best place to look - and you can get 2 nights and 3 days at Hotel Santa Fe including Eurostar direct at the end of Feb - beginning of March for just under £242 then you you two 3 day hopper passes for £132, making a grand total of £374. That might be the cheapest you will get it if you want a disney hotel and a direct Eurostar train too.0

We certainly do and good value they are
Currently, Disney are offering buy one get a child one free dual park ticket so you don't have to stay on site. I think with the same validity as the accomodation offer above.0
