Very true and I do know a lot about coverage with 3g and the different bands etc so feel I am a fairly knowledgable chap when it comes to this so was just surprised by 3 CS response.

I find it ironic that you would ring 3 CS to query a problem which is clearly related to being inside a building and then make a statement like this. :D

I phoned up to see if there was a problem in the area where my wife worked not to report an issue with indoor coverage and no where have I stated that I phoned up to complain about their coverage indoors.

It was 3 CS who told me that they had excellent indoor and outdoor coverage not me.

    Extract from my original post

As I am the account holder I decided to phone up 3 customer services to find out if there was any issues at the postal code where my wife works to which they responded sorry sir that area has excellent coverage indoors and outdoors so I politely said I will check with my other half and see if it is indeed the case and if she was somehow mistaken.

To cut a long story short my wife is on 3 and the place where she works has zero reception inside and she has to go outside into the car park to make any calls or to use Facebook etc.

Hmm, I have only read and commented on what has been posted. :rotfl:

I can see how you thought that but trust me I would not want to look like a complete numpty complaining on here about indoor coverage. :rotfl:

My whole thought process was that if 3 CS say there is an issue with the mast, signal quality outside this could be affecting it inside as well.

Maybe I should of explained myself better!

    daleski75 I know, I am just joking.

Maybe it is just that your wife doesn't want to speak to you? :D

That thought did cross my mind and it's a better excuse than saying I am going through a tunnel *makes random whistling noises*!
  • 3 is a terrible network if you seek all-round coverage. I left them within a month to go to T-Mobile.

3G in UK is on 2100mhz frequency for ALL the mobile telecom operators, the higher the frequency the poorer indoor penetration and the shorter the signal terminates from the mobile telecom providers mast/cell/base station.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

@chrispafc.. You left 3 and went to T-Mobile?? That's interesting cause 3 and T Mobile have a mast sharing agreement.
