terminate o2 contract - going with vodafone

Hello

o2 don't provide me with a network on my Iphone 4, so I am switching networks. I am currently on a 24 month contract with 7 months to go.

I have a sent details to Vodafone last week, but my o2 account is still active, any idea how long it should take? Anyone know a phone number to get in touch with Vodafone to get my details switched over as I done it online last time.

Thanks.

How have you sent and what 'details'? Was it the PAC?

As a side note, are you paying the Early Termination Charge to O2?

Not wanting to pay a penny more to o2.

I have the pac code and filled out their web form to switch the number over last tuesday - still not done.

O2 gave you a pac code without an early termination fee?

Yes, they admitted that the problem should of been sorted out when I got the phone, due to the fact I could return the phone in the 14 day return policy, of which o2 has been telling me to wait for the masts to be fixed, or wait for new sim cards to be swapped, etc.

It has taken me 17 months to get here. I don't want to pay the next bill, I want to terminate now, but vodafone need to transfer my phone number.

Good for you if they let you go without the ETC. Otherwise it's not only up to you to decide unless you don't care about your credit history and debt collectors.

Welcome to Vodafone. Hope the reception will be better than their CS. Call them, but don't hold your breath.

I am going on Pay as you talk, which I already have and using, I get full signal, however I need my number from o2.

No idea how long it should take.

o2 has credited my account with the termination fee so I don't pay it.

THey said that something is wrong with my account, and can't work out what, but I can't make phone calls or receive them in my road. Very else on o2 can.

    Hi gaogier,

    Firstly, welcome to Vodafone! :)

You can transfer your number over by filling in this form. It can then take up to 48 hours for the number to come across.

If you need any further help, give me a shout.

    Thanks,
