I know people have said that they are all the same and that the results don't differ, I have to disagree though. I personally use the site at http://www.auctionpixie.co.uk/search/ and they find a lot of results (as do the others), however they seem to find less bad results.

For example, if you search for diamonds or diamond on some of them, you end up getting results for the other - which is not really what you want. I don't know why that happens on some but the one I use it doesn't, hence thats why I use it.

Just my 2 cents on this issue, I don't know if anyone else has found that too on these types of sites too?
  • I've added a new Advanced Search page to https://www.FatFingers.com, which does a few new things:

    * Gives advice on items found, to help avoid scams
    * Find items for sale in your area to save on post and packaging
    * Even better at finding spelling mistakes
    * Detailed information on the items found, including final price after standard shipping has been added and seller's feedback rating
    * Options to find spelling mistakes in more places than just the title

I really like the 'advice' option (click the advice link next to an item in the results). It gives a report on the auction listing, highlighting anything suspicious - such as excessive postage, risky payment options or if it is linked with any known scam websites.

As always, if something is not working or you want anything added - let me know.

  • I've just found another really good site http://ebaymisspellings.thewebguides.net/common_misspelling_dictionary/ebay_misspelling_finder_tool.cfm

Another good tool on the site is where you can find misspellings for anything and use them in your adwords campaign
  • Another one that works great is http://ebooked.org/Misspell.php finds more results
  • Ebooked.org was moved to http://www.typobay.com/

    ADVERTISING

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, this site is free of advertising and we ask people not to advertise their own services/websites/ebay sales (please see this rule). I have asked Board Guides to move any they see. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Out of curiousity, all of the mis-spell sites mentioned in this thread have been members of the eBay affiliate scheme - the more searches and winning bids placed through these systems, the more the site owners earn in commision - is this common knowledge?

The way to spot this is looking for the word ROVER appearing at the start of any URL link that is clicked, before re-directing to the normal eBay listing page.
