On the subject of books, I keep certain ones that I have read more than once or want to read again and we keep a few reference books but all the rest I pass on either to other people or to the charity shop. DH will not get rid of any books at all. To be fair, he can never remember the end of any book (or film) so they're always like new to him ;)

    :)

Thanks Dusty, I lost the candles link when my laptop died.

Not long been home, all I have done so far is have a cup of tea and light the fire.

Need to empty and fill the DW, and sort the WM as a minimum.

List of Challenges for this week

    Let's think about Christmas!:xmastree:

Write your list for Santa! Done
Have you sorted your present list? WIP
Wrap or buy 3 presents depending on how organised you are. Severely behind here due to lack of cash
Write your Christmas card list. All cards written, addressed and stamped ready for posting
Are you joining in with the Christmas card swap on Facebook? Apart from these ones;)
Do you need wrapping paper/bows/gift tags etc? Purchased
What Christmas cards do you need to buy/make? See above
Have you got enough stamps? See above

For anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas you need to do an extra decluttering session or HHI each day to get a snowman!
  • Hi All, it's Ian, Money Saving Divas OH

Not sure if this is the right purple but it's the one I am using today!

Just wanted to drop by and thank Lady Liberty for the post and the rejuvenation of the candle page by those of you who have been on and lit a candle for MSD. Your love and support was really appreciated back at the end of Jan when MSD died and is still appreciated now.

I do go back and read the thread that was started and it helps to remind me the happy times she spent on the Forum.

As LL mentioned, we will be scattering Sonjas ashes on Friday and it is great to know those of you that remember MSD will be thinking of her.

    Best wishes

    Ian

  • Good Evening everyone

Hope you all had a good and hugs for those that need them.

The candle link was really nice - its good to stop and think about those we have lost sometimes. thank you

I have not managed to do much at all today - tried to book car in for MOT only to find out it has run out - oops not sure now if I can drive it - need to ring lease company at 8.30 to see if they can garage in another town where I have an important meeting that I must attend can do the MOT while I wait or I can get taxi to meeting from garage.

Found cheque at weekend and today realized that it had expired so will have to go to issuing branch to see if they can cancel and re-issue

Its also the dreaded SW tonight and as DD was here last week I don't think I have done very well again....:o

Right done with the moaning - can just fit in a HHC before need to leave as will need to drive to Coop first to get money out.

    Right - HHC ......now

I had my blood test today LW. I looked away and the nurse just kept chatting to me as she took the blood, changed the tubes and took more... A nurse told me years ago to make sure I looked away and kept talking to keep my mind off it and it generally works.

I have done very little today, work or otherwise. It's been cold here, and I'm not sure whether it is that or being run down but i've been feeling pretty grotty. I've been out and bought food but CBA to cook or eat it... I need to do something with the reduced English pink veal that I picked up. Preferably something I can chuck in the SC and won't need dealing with until tomorrow...

    Evening

LW~~ stand firm, if you need a flylady to tell the Pubs Officer's cohort to go and do one, I am ready and waiting, :D.

Greenbee~~ I think it is time you had some time off to have a good rest, to get your health right.

    Tonight so far:-
    Cat fed
    I'm fed
Chicken currey cooking for OH, but he is still at work, using up roast chicken from Saturday.

Right I need advise, so where better but flyladies:-

My adopted grandson, during my holiday out there, is having a little girl (4) to stay, she is 'I think' his 2nd or 3rd cousin, but the floods out there are so very bad in the north, the little girl's mother has decided to move the child to stay with AGS for several weeks, so the mother can sort out the hosue / business /other older relations.

So what I need is small gifts to give her, AGS has the free logo, but there is not enough for her, so what do 4 year old girls like??

All items MUST be MSE, small, light, (the temperature out there will be 80 plus, so gloves, hats, scarfs are not need) as they have to go in my case, so far have 2 free legos for her, chocolate coins, a pack of 10 small crayons, I need about another 6 to 9 items............. over to you ...........
