Got a Christmas Pud leftover from last year (think I bought it after Christmas!) It's the Tesco Finest with an orange in the middle. Out of Date September 2012 - OK for Christmas dinner this year?
Mind you, I might be keeping an eye out for reductions before Christmas, just in case ... and also because I think you can never have too many Christmas puddings!
I have eaten 'normal' Christmas puds way after their BB date, btw. Never had one with an orange in the middle.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hi experts :hello:
I have bought a big salmon cut of beef for tomorrows dinner.
Normally I just rub it with mustard and roast in the tin.
Any nice ideas of what to do for a change ? anything but red wine as i don't have any
thanks in advance and happy new year :TLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!0 -
I thought all you freezer queens on here might know this one:
When a freezer ices up inside like utter billy-o, does that mean it needs a new door seal?0 -

I have a quick question about laundry starch/spray starch. OH wants to start starching his shirts for work. I haven't done it in years, but my parents used to mix up a spray bottle from liquid starch when I was at home and I would use that. They said it was cheaper than using the kind in aerosol cans. So, I sent OH to the pound shop to look for either the aerosol kind or the liquid kind you dilute yourself and he came back with powdered laundry starch that is meant to go in the wash. Can I dissolve this in hot water and put it in a spray bottle to use the same way, or is it a different kind of starch? In his defence, I grew up mostly in the states so I didn't know the proper names or brand names or even colours of bottles to tell him what to look for.0

My question is about what abbreviations mean.
I think I know what Mr T and Mr A is and NSD = no spend day? I've seen more but I can't remember what they are.0 -
Random question here. I've just accidentally broken 3 eggs which I wasn't going to use - for how long could I keep them for in a lock and lock box in the fridge?
Thanks in advance,
